  Another year here, we won't actually get to Colombia for a little over 1.5 years but we are so excited.

  We'll move every 2-4 years until DH retires, I'm just really happy she's going to get the opportunity to learn [and hopefully be fluent] in Spanish.

  I think it's a great opportunity for your daughter to experience some culture!! And if you enjoy the solider's life I think that is wonderful! I have some good friends who travel around with their husbands in the armed forces and they have such great experiences. And I also know others who don't like it.

  DH works for the government but not in the military so his work is different than say, the Marines at our post but it's a similar lifestyle. I love it, at least so far, but I do know a lot of people who do one overseas tour and that's the end!
