Good morning ladies!  Thanks for the check in Bugg.

I am officially back, I had my last blood draw and follow up OB appt and my levels were back to negative.  I am only benched until af comes and then we are back to ttc.

Good news is that I may be coming up to O already, I split my mess of a chart before I broke FF with it.  Yesterday I had some really good ewcm and a + opk, so fx that I will not have to wait too long.
Biggest ((((hugs)))) and I'm really hoping that you get a nice, early O this cycle.

  • Hi, Bug. Thanks for the check in. How are you? ((HUGS)) and FX for a prompt O, @mlal78‌. I am on vacation with DH now and it's my FW. Woot woot! So glad to be moving on from my last cycle, which was long and crappy due to a cyst that now seems to have resolved.

Vacation and FW! That's a big win!

Have fun and I hope you get a chance to relax and enjoy yourselves.

  • Thank you for the check in. I don't have much to report, my husband and I have been on two different continents this month and I get home just in time to try one more cycle before our first IUI.

@mia78 sorry you are back and good luck.

    @HeyMrsPotter have a great vacation.

Thanks for  the check in @buggirl72 I hope you are doing OK.
My cycle has been longer than usual and confusing me but I had EWCM this week and  +OPK yesterday so hopefully that means I am Oing today.  Hopefully this will put me on track to ovulate during my time at home the next few months.

@mial I'm sorry you have to be back here and hope you cycle gets back on track

  • Thanks so much for the checkin Buggirl!! ((hugs)) My bumping has been pretty sporadic for the last month or two but I'm trying to become more involved again, thanks for being patient with my absence.

We're sort of NTNP right now, have been since our last clomid cycle in March.  On our clomid cycles we were finding it really difficult to get in more than one or two days of sex in my FW, hubby unfortunately needs a good couple of days in between to recover and even then sometimes has trouble finishing.  The pressure to perform really gets to him - plus we've both gained back a lot of the weight we lost two years ago and he's sitting on the edge of being diabetic again, which of course plays havoc with him physically.  So, the last couple of months we've stepped back from actively TTC.  It's sad to say, but we've only been having sex a couple times a month since March.  I guess after almost two years of TTC and timing things to the hilt, a break was needed, and it just highlights for me the fact that our relationship has obviously been taking a backseat through all of this and likely needs some attention.

I honestly don't know where we'll be going from here.  We have our follow-up/checkin appointment with our OB at the end of July, it's just so frustrating to be done our clomid cycles in March and having to wait four months to review them and our plan going forward.  It feels like I'm staring at the ever approaching crossroads that I always knew would come along sooner or later, not quite believing that it's now 'sooner'.  So hard to describe, but I know you all understand the conflicted emotions of TTC at our age.

(((hugs))) to all who need them, and thanks for letting me try to explain where I'm at.  I can't even express how comforting it is to know you're here!  >:D<

  • Hi ladies. Happy weekend.
    Thanks for the check-in @buggirl72‌.
I'm on cd12. We had one IUI yesterday and not feeling optimistic. I feel I missed my window of trying naturally and overall I'm upset with my RE office. They accidentally contaminated our semen so we had to cancel the first IUI. Now I find out they're no longer taking my insurance. Maybe it's a sign to move on to IVF and get a new RE...
@gscoville‌ - sorry for what you're dealing with. We are here to support you.
@tlc35‌ - yay for getting back on track.
@VesperLynch‌ - I hope the stars align for you TTC.
@HeyMrsPotter‌ - enjoy your vaca and FW!
@mlal78‌ - so sorry you're back but sounds like you'll be back in the saddle soon!
    @yellowcat10‌ - fx for a successful cycle w/o IUI!

  • Happy Saturday, and thanks for checking in, Bug. I hope you're having a good weekend so far :-)

    *snip*

CD 2 today. I knew this was coming because I had a BFN a day or two before (I try to test as late as possible). Since DH is ready to "knock it out," as he lovingly calls it, and our work schedules almost align in June and July, all signs in the Lynch household are on GO after two months of NTNP and two months of TTA. I'm turning 41 in the fall, so this is a bit of a last full-on effort. We discussed before that we were not going to pursue fertility treatments, and my mind about that has not changed. (Not yet, anyways. Better not to say never.)

Beyond that, things are well and I still feel weirdly calm--almost as if (I hope I'm allowed to say this) things will be okay in the end either way.

Hope you all have a great weekend. I will be trying to peel myself away from Season 3 of Scandal long enough to do something productive...

    (edited to clarify)
Yay for go time! It is absolutely okay to say that things will be okay in the end either way. They will and I'm glad that you are at a point where you can see that.

Big ((((hugs)))) and I'm glad you and your H are able to take this time to try and focus more on the two of you. It is so important and it does tend to get lost in all of the pressure of TTC.

H and I only did the one medicated cycle because the pressure was just too much for him.  We have the same thing with needing recovery time and not always being able to finish. Our timing normally is better if my H feels like we are NTNP.

I'm happy that you are peeking back in. Post when you can and you know we are here for you.

I would be so mad! I think finding another RE is a good idea - being comfortable and trusting your doctor is so important and I don't know if you will be able to fully trust them again.

((((Hugs)))) and FX that this did work.

  • Hi Ladies,
Hope you'll forgive the post and run but I am so emotionally drained that I've taken two naps today (Could also be that valium).  Aside from having one 3 day embryo transferred this morning, not much going on LOL.  Oh that's not true!  We had the house inspection on the short sale that was owner approved, and now we just wait who knows how long for bank approval.  But I've had lots of fun this past week keeping my mind of TTC by day dreaming of our house.  And our 5 year anniversary is on Friday, so I'm looking forward to that.

@mlal78 - I'm am so so sorry to see you back sweetie.  Big (((hugs)))
@HeyMrsPotter - I'm glad the cyst is finally gone
@Yellowcat10 - glad you'll be on the same continent as DH!  Enjoy together time!
@VesperLynch - finding some peace at "no matter what" gave me a calm I hadn't felt in a long time.  <3
@tlc35 - FX you are ovulating today.  I always felt O'ing on the weekend was an extra gift.
@gscoville - I hope you and your H find some time to make your relationship (non TTC) a priority again this summer.  I've found day-dates here and there have been relationship lifesavers for us.
@lesliem0901 - I'm so sorry your RE's office doesn't seem to have it together.  But FX for a miracle with this IUI.

@Buggirl - thank you as always for being our check in leader.  Hope you're doing well!

  • Oh and here is a pic of the pies I'm making :) Its from my new cookbook from Tupelo Honey Cafe, Asheville, NC.

Sorry for CD2 :( I love baking - unfortunately, I'm the only person who ends up eating it because Mr. Bug does not have a sweet tooth.

  • Hi ladies! @buggirl72‌ thanks for the check in! We are off the bench, in so much as we are NTNP this month. I feel like there is a lot of uncertainty in both MH and my professional lives right now so financially I am nervous to try this again. MH changed careers and has taken a job with a really low starting pay and my boss is being sneaky which makes me nervous. I think he likes to deflect any focus from himself by turning it on one (or more) of his direct reports. In talking with peers who have worked with him previously I have been told to "watch my back" and "document everything" so now I am completely stressed. What a great time to jump back into the pool. On the other hand, as DH points out, there is always some reason that the timing isn't right, so why stress? Too bad I am a chronic worrier. Oh well. Hope the week is great for everyone!

  • @VesperLynch‌ No pms was not good to me. I knocked out a dozen nestle turtle chip cookies by myself and earned several stars at Starbucks on chi tea fraps lol. Yes, Tupelo Honey Cafe is there still :) it's home base for them and there is one coming to Raleigh, North Carolina in the fall. We were there in March and the day after we left they closed for a week to remodel, make more room for dinning. Hopefully that will help with the wait time. The shrimp and grits all the way is my fav!!! The sweet potato pancakes are at the top of my list also. Just be hungry when you go, the portions are huge. Great town by the way. Very um eclectic ;)

I'm one of those who takes pictures of really good food.
