Re: ~*Saturday Ticker Change!*~
Weeks/Fruit: 37/ winter melon (no idea what that is) or swiss chard (also a weird comparison!
How are you feeling? Generally pretty good, but I think part of that stems from knowing I won't be back to work for about 16 weeks. Maternity leave has officially begun!
Otherwise, just dealing with increasingly painful carpal tunnel, swollen feet, and general discomfort from LO trying to do backflips when she barely has any room left in there.
Upcoming appointments? Weekly OB appt. on Tuesday. It'll be my 2nd cervical check and I'll get the results from my GBS swab.
Questions? Am I the only one who has just completely avoided the thought of possibly having a C-section (out of denial) but now feel totally unprepared because I know that it totally *could* happen whether I prepare myself for it or not? I had to sign the paperwork to OK my docs to do an emergency C section at my last appt. and it forced me to actually think about it...
GTKY: What is your favorite summer "treat" to enjoy? Can be food, drink, activity, etc. as long as it's something you do only/primarily in the summer! Dunkin donuts watermelon coolattas are my latest obsession (I have already had 2 in the past 3 days) but DD iced coffee is a close 2nd. I live on that stuff and plan on cold brewing my own at home when LO arrives.
How are you feeling? Everything hurts and I want to die
Upcoming appointments? Reg 40+3 OB appt on Tuesday, followed by Biophysical on Friday if I haven't delivered.
Questions? Nawp
GTKY: What is your favorite summer "treat" to enjoy? Can be food, drink, activity, etc. as long as it's something you do only/primarily in the summer! Long walks to the dog park (too cold for our little mini doxie in the winter) and coming home to ice cold beer
@babygabe614 no you're not the only one in denail re c/s - i've pretty much not done any research either
How are you feeling? i just cant believe i am still pregnant! i had a feeling i was going to be late, but still i am so ready for baby boy to get here. i woke up this morning to a million text messages checking in to see if i've delivered. i just started telling people i am going to start pushing lol
Upcoming appointments? i feel like i am always at the doc! monday 40 +2 week checkup, tues/fri NST if i make it that far
Questions? i want baby to get here, but i am uncomfortable with the thought of getting induced. anyone else feel that way?
GTKY: What is your favorite summer "treat" to enjoy? Can be food, drink, activity, etc. as long as it's something you do only/primarily in the summer! i live in so cal where it is warm year round, so my answer is just going to be what i cant wait to do when i am not pregnant: drink cold beer, surf, exercise normally, sup, drink beer, etc.
Feeling: Feeling pretty good. Don't feel like birth is on the verge, and I am ok with that! Still not sleeping great.
Appointments:37 week appointment on Monday. Probably just the usual measurement, BP, and weight. Will also get the results for GBS test.
Questions: I am also fearful of getting induced or having a c-section; would rather have it happen naturally - less pain and faster (as "they" say)!
GTKY: Cold beer or glass of wine on an outdoor patio, ahhhhhh
How are you feeling? Physically, I'm fine. I just get annoyed easily.
Upcoming appointments? Weekly check on Tuesday.
Questions? None. I'm with everyone else in not wanting to be induced. Also, a c-section is not on my mind. I'm visualizing a pushing.
GTKY: What is your favorite summer "treat" to enjoy? Can be food, drink, activity, etc. as long as it's something you do only/primarily in the summer! I love outdoor dining at a local cafes. Plus, visiting the farmers markets.
How are you feeling? Better! I stopped working last week and the edema in my feet and hands immediately got better. Also, this baby officially dropped two days ago and all of the sudden my breathing is so much easier. Sure, I have to pee all the time but I'm happy to not get out if breath while doing it.
Upcoming appointments? Wednesday, weekly check with OB. My mom will be in town so she is going with me...
Questions? This is silly...at my first cervical check last week I was 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced with babies head at 0 station. I know that this can mean nothing at all and that women walk around dilated/effaced for weeks. Unfortunately, somewhere deep in my pysche, I have taken this to mean I'll go into labor before my due date. Am I crazy?
GTKY: What is your favorite summer "treat" to enjoy? My pool! Love getting into that inflatable lounger and reading a trashy book while floating around.
How are you feeling? Tired and like I have way too much to do before the baby arrives. Habitual procrastinator here with a long list of (mainly house) chores to get done before delivery - not that it's necessarily a good indicator, but our first was born at 38 weeks + 2 so I should know better than to put things off for one more day since "I can always do it tomorrow."
Questions? Nope
GTKY: What is your favorite summer "treat" to enjoy? Can be food, drink, activity, etc. as long as it's something you do only/primarily in the summer! I love Watermelon; doesn't hurt that there is something about eating it that brings back a lot of great childhood memories as well.
