  One or the other and don't put them in the ocean without them in your arms. Don't go deeper than knee length because of dip currents

  Floaties and the like aren't meant to be life saving (just for a little extra feeling of safety for the kid when they're learning to swim) so if you're looking for potential life saving, you'll need to go with a life vest.

  Just want as an extra precaution Nothing life saving worth bc I won't even let her go when she's in our small pool at home let alone in the ocean

  It's hard to hold a baby when they have all that stuff on them so keep that in mind. The ocean is nothing like a pool. Please respect that and stick to wading in ankle deep water or playing with the wave break on shore
