Coxsackie experiences

DD was diagnosed with the dreaded coxsackie yesterday which she picked up from DC. She has sores in the back of her throat and a couple spots on her hands and feet. Her dr said she was surprised she wasn't crying as it looked very painful. She's been her normal happy self for the most part, but night is the worst. It's absolutely killing me to know she's in pain and I don't even know if it's at it's worst yet!

If you had the awful luck of experiencing this, how long did it last? How bad did it get?
3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13

Thanks ladies. I'm hoping she turned a corner. She sttn last night and the drooling has decreased tremendously. Still has bumps on her. Hoping those start to clear up.

  • My DS had this when he was about 16 months. I had pretty much weaned him from BF at the time, but the blisters in his mouth were so painful that he wouldn't nurse....so that was the end of BF for us. That was almost 13 years ago, and I still remember how miserable he was. It only lasted about a week from what I remember. Just make sure to keep LO hydrated since drinking can sometimes be an issue. Hope she's feeling better soon!
