Not Enough Middle Fingers

The cleaning person that was scheduled for today had an emergency & can't come until next week. I mean, it's not the end of the world but I was looking forward to the extra help before the in-laws invade. C'mon Universe? Why do you want to make life hard on me?

It's not impossible & really the house isn't a disaster. It was just that little extra that I was hoping for.

H may or may not be busting out a broom & wiping the base boards. It's not his fault, but if we (read: me) is going to hear about this shit on Friday I want some extra help from him. He's mad that our plans have been jacked.

    I like to have my house cleaned AFTER house guests anyway- they always leave me exhausted with a dirty house!

    She has a weakness for sweets. My very funny hippie friend (we are all crunchy & shit out here) offered to help me make "special" cinnamon rolls. I declined because as much as I despise her, I don't feel right getting her high without her consent. It's one thing if she accidentally ate any I had around. It's another to bake them & offer knowing it could make her sick as well as get her high. My neighbors offered to smoke a bunch in the back yard. "Take her out to 'see the flowers' ". Haha I'm laughing at all my hippie friends offering to get my MIL stoned.
    Hey, accidental snacking! No, I understand. She's going to be who she is. Hopefully you can desensitize to her craziness and not let her push your buttons. Hope the weekend is going well!
