This is the weekly June '14 PgAL check-in. This is a place for anyone due June 2014 that has suffered a previous pregnancy loss. PgAL is an exciting but scary place so please feel free to share your thoughts, concerns, milestones and vents. Mostly, this check-in is to remind all of us that we are not alone in the journey and to offer support along the way. Check-in is every Saturday.

Hey ladies. Things are really picking up for all of us now. A few things...to join the social groups, you actually need to go find the social group from your invite and choose to join the group. If you don't have an invite yet, please PM me. I've been trying to keep a running list but things are definitely busy around here.

Also, when you get a chance, please PM me your babes birthdate and name if you would like and I'll add it above. I haven't been able to keep up with the board as much anymore. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

How far along are you/How old is baby? Baby is 22 hours old!!

What do you still have left to prep?
Car needs to get fixed and car seat installed.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally?
Had a very rough night. My veins are terrible so I've been stuck about 15 times and had to have my iv moved twice. Breastfeeding hurts like a bitch, my pediatrician said he needs saline in his nose and he'll latch better.
Up and walking around since 10 last night so glad to have the catheter taken out earlier than with previous LOs!
I had an ugly cry this morning when the resident changed my dressing, but I'm doing better with a percoset.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share?

I didn't get my tubal, during the surgery my doc said he couldn't do it BC there was too much scar tissue and he couldn't get around the uterus to the tubes. So we are back to plan A which is hubster getting a v BC I would have to go under GA and come back in and we both agreed I've had enough surgeries in the last few years so he's gonna take one for the team

I was worried the entire time with PGAL brain I posted a pic on FB yesterday and most ppl said omg didn't know you were pregnant! It was a weird pregnancy for me I didn't talk about it at all.

Any baby awesomeness/milestones this week?
He's so precious and perfect and I can't believe I have a little boy! My girls are in love and I am so in love with my family of 5

QOTW – What is your favorite activity to do in the summer.

We rent a lake house in NH for two weeks every summer. They're fixing it up this year due to the hurricane so we will miss it sorely!!!!!!

How far along are you/How old is baby? Only 23 days left give or take on when Alex comes.

What do you still have left to prep? Not to much but to get my daughters big sister bag ready, and a few odd and ends things for around the house need to be done, along with putting Alex name up on his wall.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically some days are better then other. If I am on my feet for most of the day then it not fun at all. Emotionally I am ready to meet Alex just waiting for when he wants to come.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I go back next Wednesday for my appointment.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? No fears but just want to make sure I am as ready as I can be because next week and until the end of the month I have something going on every weekend. I also plan on working as long as I can.

Just want to say thanks to all the ladies on this board, you guys have given me more support than you know just reading your posts and keeping up with women who have gone through similar situations have kept me in a positive mindset.

How far along are you/How old is baby? 38 weeks

Team / Name? Zachariah Louis

What do you still have left to prep? We are pretty settled for immediate needs. I'll be getting my pump in the next few days and have to get some things for when we move that we won't need here (baby gates and such) but no rush.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? I'm emotionally just ready and anxious to get this who on the road. Friday I had contractions all day and I was pumped that this could be it, but over night they went away. Today I'm trying to keep busy and maybe they will pick back up again.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? 38 week appt on Tuesday. My last appointment had my second round of bile blood work come back and everything was still normal. I'm just going to itch until this baby is out of me for no reason apparently.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I think at this point DH is getting panicked and I've actually found a place of calm.

Any baby awesomeness/milestones this week? He's dropped lower it feels like.

QOTW – What is your favorite activity to do in the summer.

I love going to the pool. I hadn't done it in years until we moved to our current apartment and I convinced DH (he couldn't swim, but I've since taught him) and he ended up loving it so now we go as much as possible.

How far along are you/How old is baby? 38w 1d

What do you still have left to prep? I NEED to do one more load of laundry (sheets for her crib and cosleeper, the lovey that Lucia is going to give her, etc. ). I want to do a ton more stuff (more work on her room, wash bottle nipples, freeze more meals, etc.). I'm feeling better about things not being perfect when she gets here though, so I'm not so stressed about it all. H has finals this week, and then he'll finally be around more.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? I'm feeling alright. I had false labor on Tuesday, and really got my hopes up that things were happening. But now I'm back to feeling okay with waiting. It's fun to read all the birth stories on here, but I'm excited to join in and hold my tiny girl and hopefully not worry so much.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I had an appointment on Thursday. I got an extra ultrasound, which was fun, even though she's too big to see all of her at once and we only could see the back of her head. My fluid level looks good, she looks good, I saw practicing breathing, and everything was pretty perfect. I go back again on Friday. My doctor is out of town for a funeral this weekend, and H has a final on Monday, so we're hoping that things don't start up this weekend.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I'm just ready to stop anticipating all of this and get things moving. But I'd also like it to not happen until my due date - mostly I just want time to speed up

Any baby awesomeness/milestones this week? Even my doctor commented on how much she was moving, especially for a baby so close to the end! She's a crazy wiggler. I can't wait to meet her.

QOTW – What is your favorite activity to do in the summer. I love summer! Especially with a toddler! We love going to the beach, and doing all sorts of outdoor activities. I love that she likes to work in the garden. This summer I'm excited to try the outdoor movies here

How far along are you/How old is baby? 2 weeks old! Team / Name? Pink / Abigail Lily What do you still have left to prep? Not prep but after haing here her I have a running lists of things I need ... Like a changing pad because she peed on my bed. How are you feeling physically/emotionally? So tired. 1 or 2 hour naps are not getting me the sleep I want. I've been falling asleep when feeding her. Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Abby had an appointment yesterday and Thank you Jesus!! She gained almost a pound. She goes back on Friday and if she is back to her birth weight by then she no longer has to do bi weekly weight checks!! I literally jumped up and down and squealed with joy when the scaled showed the new weight.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Breast feeding. Is. Hard. Especially when LO is pre term because they have major suction issues. Any baby awesomeness/milestones this week? Her weight gain. And she's just cute. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ QOTW – What is your favorite activity to do in the summer. How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Over the moon in love!! And so happy that he's here and in my arms! Had a scary end of the birth with a nuchal cord.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Just normal crazy parent stuff, check breathing a million times a day, make sure everyone holds his head correctly, wash hands, loll stuff like that

Just Any baby awesomeness/milestones this week? He is a much better eater/nurser than his brother! Yay, so I am hoping to bf for a long time this time.

38w2d, team pink, Camryn.~~~ nothing left to prep! only waiting now! and I'm not very patient.....~~~~~physically feeling big, slow, hot, tired and achy. Emotionally so excited to meet our girl, but also very scared that life is never going to be the same again, it will never be just my hubby and I again. I'm nervous about losing what we have, because we have so much fun together and are so crazy about each other. I know different doesn't mean bad, and soon enough we will wonder what life was like before baby girl.~~~~~ uneventful weekly appointments and NSTs, 75% effaced! fingertip dilated! minus one station. Scheduled induction for due date because my blood pressure was wonky during my second tri and dr is concerned about micro vascular damage to placenta, doesn't want me pregnant any pager than necessary. ~~~~ not much for crazy! just the worries about changes with DH and I forgetting to still view each other as husband and wife. ~~~~ Baby awesomeness, she runs her feet back and forth on my right side constantly!~~~~fave summer activity! mostly hanging with friends! enjoying being outside with a cocktail in hand.

What do you still have left to prep? Still trying to prepare myself mentally.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically I'm fine, but it seems like I'll be pregnant forever.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Last week, OB said that I'm measuring small. NBD, but I don't need anyone signs that I will go past my EDD.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I have finally gotten over all my PGAL fears, but after reading some of the birth stories I've learned that my fears will not end once LO arrives. I continue to pray for our BMB.

What do you still have left to prep? Just need to throw a few last things in the hospital bag. Otherwise, everything is ready to go.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically, tired, sore, and swollen. Emotionally, ready for this baby to make her appearance!

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? 40 week appointment on Tuesday. As long as they don't have too many moms in labor already, they will strip my membranes to try to get things going.

What do you still have left to prep? Order some things (including breast pump). I've come to peace with the fact that I won't have the nursery done.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically, I have a nasty cold. Emotionally, freaking out that Sawyer's going to be here anytime.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Evidently my blood pressure keeps creeping up, so my dr is not going to let me go past my due date. I'll know more after my appointment on Tuesday if I don't go into labor before that.

Well little Hailey was 2 weeks early. I was in the mall w my best friend just ate and we were going to go to the movies. Missed the first show. Went to walk around the mall went to the Hallmark store Looked around bought something. Friend went to the bathroom and then my water broke right on the store carpet. Lol

Called friend to have her come back to store.
Called dr since she is breech. Hospital was only 10 mins away so we left for there.

Called hubby could not reach him. Thy is weird. Ended up calling our neighbor and he walked to the house. Hubby was home. He was trying to see if he could do something w his phone that he dropped outside didn't know it and then ran over it with the truck. Yup it was toast. Neighbor told hubby I was at the hospital. He thought neighbor was joking. Lol

Omg things never happen like that to hubby. Thank gosh my neighbors were home and we have a great relationship w them.

Great story for when she is bigger lol. Everything that happened omg. Lol

My friend thought I was crazy since all I worries about was breaking my water on the carpet of the store. Lol

What do you still have left to prep? Nothing really. We have some more decorating to do in the nursery, but there's nothing that NEEDS to be done at this point. I'm just trying to keep having projects to keep me busy!

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? I'm very impatient! I'm worried this kid is going to be a couple weeks lae.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? My due date is Wednesday! At my 38 wek appointment I wasn't dilated at all, so I'm not sure how far along I'll be at this week's appointment. It's starting to feel like I'll be pregnant forever . . . .

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Oh, nothing major I guess. Just the fear that he'll never come . . . .

pretty much ready to go, a few last minute things to buy and hospital bag to pack.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally?

Physically not terrible, tired and sore and not sleeping well at all but for the most part not bad. Pretty emotional and very excited to meet my girl and have her moving on the outside instead of pummeling me from inside lol

38 week check on Wednesday but that is it.

Nothing crazy, dreading the vagina recovery and nervous about labour but who isn't haha

Just time outside, kiddie pools, sprinklers, the Calgary Stampede, fresh air and playdates and bbq's with friend and family. Even more fun this year with the little miss joining us.
