Trouble TTC

-:- 3T Weekly Check-In -:-

A day early this week.

If you are finally getting your BFP, please PM me so I don't miss it!  Also this helps me avoid posting an ambiguous BFP if you're not ready to officially call it.

Reply to this post if you would like your information updated.  Please post an update at least monthly so I know you are still active - even if your info hasn't changed.  You will be removed if you go more than four weeks without posting.

If you would like to be added or updated, please answer the questions below:

1. What is your name (if you want to share)?
2. When did you start TTC (month/year)?
3. What is your diagnosis (if you have one)?
4. What treatments are you doing?

For everyone who is up to date on the above, where are you in your current cycle and how's it going?

QOTW: What is your proudest moment?

    1. What is your name (if you want to share)? Christina
    2. When did you start TTC (month/year)? NTNP since Nov. 2012, TTC since May 2013
    3. What is your diagnosis (if you have one)? Unexplained IF
    4. What treatments are you doing? None at this time. We've decided to take a break. DH may be getting a new job, which will move us six hours away. A lot is up in the air. We're NTNP again, pending the move and possible insurance change.

For everyone who is up to date on the above, where are you in your current cycle and how's it going? I'm currently still waiting to do something. I've been stuck in an anovulatory cycle for nearly 3 months now. I am going to see about getting on Provera for a few days.

QOTW: What is your proudest moment? I don't know that yet. I look forward to the day when I can look back on my life and be proud of the moments I really gave it my all. I hope to share those moments with my kids, too :)

  • @ky29‌ - I'm sorry :(. FX for the Hail Mary IUI.

I'm at CD 36. Day 4 of 5 for Provera. Whenever AF arrives, hopefully in about a week, I will start BCPs for IVF #1.

QOTW: At the age of 22 I became a manager of a Domestic Violence shelter and two years later I was the Director of the entire department. I left that job because I got burned out bad, but that is one of the things I am really proud of.

    Me: 30  DW (aka C): 29

Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12

    ***CP mentioned***

We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.

11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.

12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

    1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

     ****All Welcome!****

We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.

  • I'm on CD10 of my first natural cycle in over a year. I'm so used to being over-informed about what my body is doing that the not knowing is driving me a little crazy! Oh well....all I can do is wait.

QOTW: Probably getting my masters degree in teaching. It was a lot of hard work and loooong hours but so worth it in the end!

    Me (29) DH (37)

    Married 7/11

I'm CD10. I'm on my 4th day of meds. My follie scan yesterday showed 4 follies in the lead that will likely have eggs. I've got my 3rd monitoring appt on Monday with IUI#2 probably Thursday or Friday. Good luck everyone!

QOTW- either graduating law school/passing the bar. Or giving birth naturally after 2.5 hours of pushing DD, when c-section was within minutes.

@ky29 Can you update me please?

I'm stuck between medicated cycle 2 and 3 right now. Clomid + IUI #2 was a fail. I stopped progesterone on Friday and I'm waiting for my period. Then I'll be onto my first injects cycle (Follistim) and IUI #3.

When I asked my RE why he thought I wasn't responding to Clomid well even though people can sometimes even ovulate on their own after treating their prolactin levels he said it's possible I have mild PCOS as well?? I still need to read and think about this, but I guess it is part of my diagnosis now?

Oops, QOTW: I think I'm proudest of getting my masters degree despite many challenges. :-)

  • @ky29 If AF arrives, I hope your hail Mary cycle is successful =)

I'm starting month 3 of my gluten/dairy/soy/nut free diet. I'm eating more healthier and trying to follow a more healthier lifestyle in general. I have no idea where I am in my current cycle. I'm on cycle day 29 but i'm not sure if i've ovulated yet since I'm still on a break and haven't been using OPK's. I'm also going back and forth as to whether or not we're going to do IVF and i'm trying to decide which Dr. to go to...

  • Can you change my status? We've decided to take a break for the summer and get a consult at another RE with the thought that we will do IVF at the new place. The drive would be a lot longer, but my current RE has really crappy IVF stats. We both really need a break anyway, and we need to do more research and save money. Depending on how our consult goes, I guess there is a chance we would do one more IUI.

QOTW: like @JadziaDax I was pretty proud when I got my acceptance letter to professional school. I know that finishing the program is the real accomplishment, but getting in felt like a pretty big deal at the time!

  • Currently 5pdiui, enjoying this beautiful weather and projects which have helped to keep my mind of off everything. I'm 100% sure we'll be out of town during next O, and almost just as sure I'll be out of town during the next one. I was hoping to consider another IUI next cycle and then potentially moving on to IVF. Now with our schedule filling up, and the decision to switch insurance in January instead of now (DH's insurance covers IVF), I feel like we aren't able to take any big steps for 6 months, which sucks!! Will probably try a couple of femara/inject IUI's in the fall.

QOTW: I'm unsure of my proudest moment, probably either buying a house when we were 23/24, or getting an amazing promotion at work that made all of the college loans worth it!

I took my first Letrozole pills yesterday (we had a little ceremony with my DH and sis to commemorate the moment) and am just hoping IUI doesn't coincide with our last faculty meeting of the school year!

Brain MRI after dx of hyperprolactinemia shows no signs of pituitary tumor, so the prolactin is currently unexplained. It's never stopped me from O'ing, and RE thinks the Letrozole will be a great treatment for healthy O anyways so I'm just going to put it out of my mind. Perhaps it doesn't fly scientifically but I like to imagine that it's higher because my boobs are growing (as I'm gaining weight, but still, my boobs are growing, yay!).

My proudest moment - delivering the commencement speech 5 years after grad school graduation, sharing my story with new grads! It was the moment I felt that I was an experienced teacher/mentor rather than a new teacher, and since then I have had a new confidence as a student advocate and leader in the school. :)

I am all scheduled for my IVF cycle in this month.  I am excited!!  Me and DH have started a round of antibiotics and I am finishing up my BCP.  I have one more week of them them comes that shots.  I am thinking DH is more scared of me taking these shots than I am.

My proudest moment:  Hmm... That is an interesting question for me.  I am a very type A person and kinda nerdy.  So I would say that my proudest moment was an achievement at work when I found a process to drastically shorten our time spent entering payroll into our system. I know, it sounds very dorky!!

had IUI#3 friday, guess we shall see, if this doesn't work, we are supposed to move on to IVF, just have to get insurance approval.  No idea how long that will take to get or if they will want to see more IUI's, of which I want to do no more.

    All Welcome

  • Hello Ladies, I seem to really suck at being around. I was on vacation, and I've been sick for over a week now so I haven't really been on much.

We decided to do a natural cycle this time. My body over-responded to 50mg clomid, and my RE's office sucks at monitoring so I'll likely be finding a new one soon.

My recent cd4 ultrasound showed that my lining is way too thick. The tech said something about the number 10.. I can't really remember. I am just relieved that I have no cysts, and that my lining didn't thin (it's usually a good thickness).

Does anyone have experience with thick lining? This is the first time it has been an issue for me, and Dr. Google isn't helpful at all. AF was barely here for 2 days.. I'm a little worried about what might be going on.

I hope you all are well. I'm about to head out to yet another dr appt to see if we can get me feeling better.

    Have a wonderful day <3
  • @NotElsie‌ I've gone in before for early monitoring and my lining was 7mm and they said it was to thick. I never figured out what it meant. I think they just made me wait a couple more days before I started stimming but it all worked out.
    Fucking bump!!!!
  • Hi all!! We are heading into IVF #2 in a bit...should be starting BCP in a few weeks. QOTW: I've had a few work moments that I'm pretty proud of...most recently though I figured out how to make the toilet stop running and was pretty giddy about it.
    Me: 34 | He: 40

  • Hey ladies, hugs to those who need them! Stimming away over here, hoping for ER this week now looking like Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm all for waiting if it means more mature follies!! Getting nervous, but feeling hopeful as I've been responding much better than last cycle!

QOTW: What is your proudest moment? My proudest moment would probably have to be graduating college. I was a Chemistry  Education major (working towards ACS accreditation and General science certification). So basically that meant cramming five years worth of study into three and a half (the last semester was spent student teaching...) I don't know how many times I reorganized my class schedule or stayed up all night studying, but I managed to graduate in four years cum laude! (GPA 3.51) I can officially say I have a BS in Chemistry and the certs to teach Chemistry and General science (anything but Bio or Physics).
