Renal dialation follow up

Anyone else have a LO who had inflamed kidneys in your u/s and being followed up with? DD always had kidneys that measured a little large so today he had an u/s himself but we have to wait until early next week to get the results. Just waiting and wondering if anyone has experienced this?

    Yes, DS had his u/s 2 weeks ago and one kidney is still enlarged. The next step is to meet with a pedi urologist. That appt won't be for another 2 weeks. They will do another u/s and VCUG (seems invasive to me). I don't think I'll be able to be in the room for it.

    Sorry you're LO still has dilation. Thanks for sharing what the next step is. They've been pretty vague with me and just kind of pushing it off as it will likely clear up. I guess I'll just hold tight until we get out results. I hope everything turns out well for your son.

    We had left sided dilation prenatally and his f/u showed improvement but it's still larger than the right. He will have another u/s at 6 months. The pedi thinks it will be close to resolved by then.

    We have this with our daughter (3 weeks old, still need to update sig). We had her ultrasound yesterday. I also don't have much info and haven't looked into it much, just because our MFM doctor (seen for other reasons) and my OB both kept saying they weren't concerned. So no useful info but wanted to raise my hand too. I hope it does turn out to be nothing in your case.

    All our doctors have been really unconcerned too. Sounds like that's not uncommon though! I hope it turns out to be no big deal for everyone's LOs.

    Got our u/s results. There's still fluid on the kidneys. On to a pediatric urologist for us for more ultrasounds and maybe a vcug. Urgh.
