What can you take for a UTI while breastfeeding? Sorry to bother everyone with this since I'm being stubborn to go to the Dr.since I've been 4+ times this month. I have taken AZO in the past, but it states on the box to check with physician if breastfeeding and when googling it says no. Besides drowning in cranberry juice is there anything I can take even though I'm breastfeeding? Going on day 3 with this stupid thing.

Also don't wait on this - get thee to a doctor. I have asymptomatic uti's which means I don't know I have them until they are in my kidneys and let me tell you they are painful and dangerous.
I did end up with an awesome yeast infection in my milk ducts. It sucked and took forever to get rid of!!!!!
Def need antibiotic for the UTi and yes probiotics for sure!
Cipro is not recommended while nursing- it is what I usually take for them when not nursing though.
