Nikitas dance teacher drinks wine. But I have no clue what kind. And after the way dress rehearsal night 1 ran I would like to bring her a bottle as a gift after the recital. Is there a go to wine that pleases most?
Since it's summer, maybe get a bottle of vinho verde? It's a seasonal white, a little fizzy, and great for drinking when it's hot out. It's also usually in the $12-15 range for a good bottle.
Personally, I'm a fan of reds- so although it pains me, I concur with the ladies above: white is a go-to for summer. I appreciate Chardonnay and Pinot.
Ditto to a white for summer. Price-wise, I like Barefoot and the Menage a Trois variety. They are decent wines for under $15. Sometimes, with sales, you can pick up a bottle for under $10.
If you're doing white I'd go with Sauvignon blanc over Chardonnay. Chardonnay is oaky and if you don't know her taste she might not like it. I don't like my whites to be oaky :P I agree that vinho verde is a good summer option. If you wanted to go with red, Pinot Noir is light enough for summer.
