Today is crazy, I got laid off

in Pregnant after a Loss
Well, today I was informed that my store would be shutting down. As of June 23rd I will be without a job. They did offer me two options. One is a part time job at less pay and much further away. The other is an impressive severance package. This is so very crazy! I am five months pregnant and while I know I have a lot to offer a new company, who would want to hire me knowing I will need to leave in 3 or 4 months? I am at a loss and I just pray everything will work out.

    Oh wow, I'm sorry to hear this!!
    I have no idea what I would do, just think it through. Maybe put some apps out just in case? Fwiw my work would totally hire a pg woman, so don't completely give up feeling like you won't be hired because you're pregnant.

    Thank you for your kind kind words. I have enough severance to cover Atleast three months of expenses. In the mean time I will job hunt. Maybe I can line something up for after LO is born. I do qualify for unemployment after severence is paid. That's could help bridge the gap while job hunting. I also qualify for Medicaid. As much as I do not want to rely on state assistance, I have no choice. I wish my E fund wasn't depleted from DH's layoff this year. I guess I can look at this as an opportunity to move on although I am sad because this isn't how I pictured my pregnancy going.
