Weekend plans: tomorrow morning is my tutu 5k, then we have 2 birthday parties for Bradley's friends; one before nap and one after. It will be a marathon day. Sunday will be me getting a pedicure and hibernating
@riansmommie I would be super glad that at least one crazy is gone. She was way out of line in "Done". No one should ever say anything like that. If I'm right (I'm mobile and can't look at siggies), she cut you with that comment and you should never have to read that kind of trash.
@wasnotwas Tank top is always the answer. And, you just made me realize that I have yet to run a race this year. Normally, I've done 3 or 4 by now. I've done zero. That needs to change. Right meow. **runs off to check out races**
@calikat80 - DS was chewing on our windows (and we have an old house with a small chance of lead paint) - so we wound up putting plexiglass over the window. It needed a wooden frame to support it - I'll try and post a picture tomorrow for you. If you don't need to open the window, it could be a solution for you!
@wasnotwas - you definitely need to post pictures from your tutu race!
I'm getting my butt in gear tomorrow and finally going running (see fffc: I haven't run in a month and I have a 10k on the 4th of july!). It's too hard to find time during the week (DH gets up hella early and leaves before LO and I get up, so in order to run before DH left, I'd have to get up at 4:30, and that's not happening - and the evenings go straight from daycare pick-up to dinner to bath to putting LO to bed, and by then it's 8:30/9pm and too late) - and arrrrgh. Hopefully I can work with DH to get myself at least one evening during the week to run, otherwise I'm not going to make it 10k!
@musicalsilver You can do it! I get making the time being hard though. I had originally planned on signing up for a 10 miler with a friend, but we didn't. Thank God, because I just realized it's this Sunday. All your check in girls have got your back to motivate you in any way we can!
@melOHdy it was a long time for us because we bought a foreclosure and then renovated it --- so we decided to put down an offer in November, closed in early January, and moved in in June.
For our first house we went to look at houses in March, put down an offer then, closed in May, and I moved in at the end of May.
I went to my schools retirement party tonight and apparently I didn't get the memo that all the girls were wearing cute black dresses. I wore a navy patterned dress and looked completely out of place. I need some serious self esteem this week. Ugh!
We had been vaguely looking for a while, but the opportunity kind of fell into our laps unexpectedly. That being said, while we bought our house less than a month after "starting" looking ... we didn't move in for about 6 months while we did some renovations.
DH went to bed early. Instead of joining him (which I seriously need the sleep) - I've decided that catching up on some quality TV that I never have time for is the better idea.
I'm going to seriously regret this when LO is up before 7 tomorrow (and the however many times he winds up waking up tonight ...).
*sigh* No winning.
And many thanks to @tiffletons518 - I'll definitely need the motivation!
So this has to be the morning that the kids sleep in...I'm waiting for race time and realizing that it's a daddy daughter race so if I were a single lady it's a friggin meat market
Well, today's plan was to go to the gym this morning and then go to the mall this afternoon to get Lily some new shoes (hers are worn out) and fix the iPad. After having day 2 of bipolar baby, I think we'll just do the mall this afternoon and I'm taking a nap with Lily this morning.
How long Was it from deciding to buy a house until moving into the home of your choice?
Probably 90 days this time and 90 the first. This time we decided to move but still had a lot to do on our house so spent a month looking around. Purchased our new build with a 90 day close.. Once we sold ours we moved the move in date up a month.. Which gives us 3 weeks to pack!

ETA one of the other crazies had a mod warn her as well because she sent a PM to me that was in violation of the new TOU.
Today was quite the day on D14, it was all fun and games until that last poster.
