I have been nursing DD for a year!
I do not post often, but the advice from this board has been so helpful in my breastfeeding journey. I was so stressed that I was not producing enough for my DD because she was not back to birthweight by 2 weeks, and she had trouble latching so I had to use a nipple shield. The advice from this board that things would get easier and better helped me make it through. By 3 months, we were done with the nipple shield and feedings became MUCH quicker. Pumping was stressful at times, and I did end up supplementing at 10.5 months, but we are still nursing 3 times a day. Now that I'm done with pumping, I am enjoying breastfeeding so much more and plan to continue until DD self weans.
To those of you who are struggling, please don't give up on a bad day! Things really do get easier, and the bond you have with your baby while nursing is like none other.
