Short Version: James Christopher arrived June 2nd weighing in at 7lbs2oz and 21" long (Huge cone head)

Longer Version: I fully expected to go over due and had no signs or indicators that he would be early. On Sunday night at 38weeks around midnight I woke up feeling a small gush but thought it was either 3rd tri extreme discharge or I hadn't woken up in time and wet my pants. After changing my underwear for the 3rd time in an hour I clicked in that it was more then likely that my water had broken. I also started to feel contractions at this point and they came on hard and fast. I woke my DH up at 2am and told him that it was more then likely go time. After rushing around packing a hospital bag and grabbing the car seat that we hadn't bothered to install yet we arrived at the hospital at 4am with contractions coming every 2 mins apart lasting anywhere from 45secs to 1.5mins.

It was confirmed that indeed my water had broken and I was at a 4 so I was admitted. I was having constant lower back pain that would not ease up even when I wasn't having a contraction so I hopped in the bathtub in hopes that, that would help and sucked back on the laughing gas they provided. This still was not helping so after an hour I decided to get checked again and decide if I wanted an epidural or not. When they checked me I was only at a 5 and I knew I couldn't do it if I still had hours to go. The anesthetist arrived 30 mins later and shortly after became my best friend. Once he was finished he suggested they check me again since he thought I was further along. Sure enough I was at an 8 and 30mins later I was complete. The epidural at this point had slowed my contractions right down and they were debating giving me something but had me do a practice push first. Apparently it was effective enough and decided to just to try it without the medicine. I ended up not feeling the urge to push so they had to let me know whenever a contraction was coming and to push. After 1.5hrs of pushing James Christopher arrived at 9:21am with no tearing below.
