When to go up a size in a carseat?

When did you get a bigger carseat for your little ones? Colton still fits but there is no more room to adjust it anymore. And it's getting difficult to get him in and out of his carseat now since the straps can't really be loosened to hook him in. It's not too tight while he's in but there's no more room for growth, what type do you recommend that will last for a while

My baby hates her bucket seat thing so we got a convertible at like 8 weeks and she has been a happy little traveler ever since.

With DD1 we waited until 11 months.

Now is a good time.

We switched to a convertible seat last week. LO still fits in the infant bucket seat and has enough room to adjust the straps, but he was getting too hot in it. The bigger seat keeps him cooler. If it wasn't for that, we could have used it for another month or two.

We just switched this week. But the bucket is staying at sitters to use. She still fits in it.

I switched the big one around 7-8mo. The twins are still in buckets bc I can't get my head around the logistics of getting two non-walkers to the car in one trip. I'm hoping to hold out until they can stand on their own and I can put them down outside.

We were thinking of doing it soon because he's almost at the height limit. However since she have mentioned it's not as hot, we'll probably do it sooner.

Lil man gets so hot in his seat too, I didn't even think about another one being cooler!

I swear mommy brain is so much worse than pregnancy brain! I will be shopping this weekend for a new seat, you all have convinced me its time ! Our babies ate growing too fast
