Re: GTKY 6/6 Edition!
2. The last one I went to was two years ago and was Aerosmith and Cheap Trick. In about four weeks we are headed to Jones Beach to see Aerosmith again. This will be my 7th time seeing them in 12 years.
3. Probably the biggest thing was getting our loan approved so that we could move to IVF. That made us both very happy.
4. If I had to change my first name, I would change it to Isabella or Grace. I love those names.
5. More motorcycle riding for us this weekend. We are going to ride down into PA...either to the PA Grand Canyon or Meadville. I went to Allegheny College for my undergrad and haven't been back in a few years. I always loved Meadville and like to visit from time to time. Also, with any luck, CD 1 will be here and I can get started on BCP.
My PIP will keep with the Aerosmith theme. It isn't the greatest quality picture, but those Aerosmith wings were my first tattoo. I found the signatures online and had them put on
as well.

***CP mentioned***
We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm. 8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy. We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET. I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.
11/14/14 - Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.
12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2
12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)
1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2
****All Welcome!****
We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.
1. What was the first concert you ever went to?
Technically I've been going to concerts since birth, since my Mom is a singer, but those were all classical. The first rock concert I ever went to was Santana. I think I was about 15. It was at an outdoor ampitheatre and I was with a bunch of older (cooler) kids. It poured rain and we went mudsliding. It was awesome.
2. What is the last one you saw? Any coming up this summer?
S and I splurged and went to see JT in February. I could not believe how many other people our age were there, and how many people I knew that went.
We don't have anything on the calendar for this summer, and it's harder now with the G man. But I'm keeping my eyes/ears open for something fun. Additionally anything classical/outside/free is typically something we do. I sang in a free outdoor concert last night with my choir and it was awesome.
3. Tell us something that's made you happy lately!
I renegotiated my cable/internet bill this week. Saved $75/month while getting better service (finally upgraded to HD, got a DVR, faster internet). That made me REALLY happy. I'm a dork.
4. If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?
Anything would be better than what it is now. Something gentle. And definitely something that's not popular for my age group! Olivia perhaps? My sister has an amazingly unique name. When someone says her name, everyone knows who they're talking about. Whereas for me, there were 7 of us in my elementary school class of 35.
5. What's up this weekend?
Tomorrow I'm doing a charity run with some friends and their kids. Should be a blast, it's VERY kid-friendly. After the run there are food trucks and beer. My kind of event. Sunday we have both a Grad party and a Bridal shower. It's going to be two very long days for the G-man. Here's hoping he naps!

2. The last concert DW and I went to see Classified
3. Something that has made me happy? That we having someone coming to fix the siding that came off the house over the winter, and it will probably be done for a case of beer. Yay!
4. I always like Shayla.
5. Well tonight my DW and I are having a date night. Home-made pizzas, snacks and an Orange is the new Black marathon! Plus Saturday we might be going to a rodeo. Sunday will probably consist of work around the house and hopefully fixing the siding.

1. What was the first concert you ever went to? I’m ashamed to admit this but, backstreet boys were my first concert. I was probably 13 yrs. old
2. What is the last one you saw? Any coming up this summer? Honestly I have no idea. I haven’t been to a concert in years. We are more of the sit at a bar and listen to a local band people. I would love to see either P!nk or DMB live.
3. Tell us something that's made you happy lately! My BFF is planning a visit this weekend!!
4. If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to? When I was little I wanted my name to be Sara.
5. What's up this weekend? See #3. We are going to do the traditional 10 hr marathon beach day. It starts with coffee and watching the waves before the crowds show up. We bring a cooler packed with drinks and some surf taco. And end the day watching the sun set before heading back for a BBQ. It’s better than therapy. Sunday we are going to a wine tasting.

2. What is the last one you saw? Any coming up this summer?Last one was Lauren Hill at festival in Sonoma County. EV won tickets by calling into radio station (this was pre-kids)
3. Tell us something that's made you happy lately! Kaden and Owen's half-sister was born yesterday morning. Our friends in LA haven't picked a name yet, so I'm curious to see what it will be :-) She was born at 9lbs 14oz, in under an hour on the side of the road. Their midwives were with them luckily (I think they were on the way to/from a non-stress test, but need to have my hunch confirmed). They're home and doing well. Baby is big and pink and has Kaden's ears. LOL.
4. If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to? No idea. I liked Avalon for our "girls" name, but it feels weird to try on a different name. One of my favorite girls names is my last name - LOL. So maybe I've had my fix ;-)
5. What's up this weekend?
Today Kaden, Owen and I had a play date at a nice shady park. It was a lot of fun :-)
Tomorrow we're going to an alumni event at the Oakland Zoo. There will be breakfast, tours and a speech by the CEO of the Zoo. Of course EV and the kiddos are coming so I'm excited about that.
Sunday its supposed to reach 100 degrees and its EV's school deadline and the end of the semester - Thank goodness!! I might take the kids to our favorite indoor play place in the afternoon.
My parents took us to a reggae concert for a group called the "Bone Daddies". First adult concert was "Cake"... Last concert... "Cake"... I have only seen them twice mere coincidence. There was a whole lot of Melissa Ferrick in between.
3. Tell us something that's made you happy lately!
Getting to the second trimester!! Yayyyyy!!!!!
4. If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?
Just did that! Changed it to Chris
5. What's up this weekend? Work, work work work work! Right now we are having an "Orange is the New Black Party" with orange and black foods: cheese dip with black corn chips, orange chicken pizza, and orange cream sodas!

I saw Def Leppard the day before 7th grade started. Pyromania tour. It was awesome. (and yes, I'm old).
2. What is the last one you saw? Any coming up this summer?
Baby's in utero first show was Jeff Tweedy (lead singer of Wilco) in December. I am horrified we've not to been a show since then! We used to go to at least 1 if not 2 or 3 a month. And sadly nothing on the books - Seattle's big in-city music festival is Labor Day weekend, and, well, I expect we'll be doing something else then.
3. Tell us something that's made you happy lately!
Everytime this kid moves or kicks me, I smile a little
4. If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?
@JGY, wonder if ours is the same?? Being a "jennifer' of the 70's, I have always been super bummed at the common factor of my name...I mean it was #1 for 13 effing years. I was adamant that our baby's name not be even in the top 500 if possible (Simone is nearly 700 in the U.S.). Scarred for life I was... But, I've also joked I'd be Veronica if I just had to pick one. Somehow that feels like it would fit me.
5. What's up this weekend?
Tonight my mom and I are going to walk Greenlake and then I"m making dinner on the grill - a small pregnancy friendly halibut my BIL caught, corn on the cob (see #3 above) and asparagus. Tomorrow is prenatal yoga, and maybe some work on the nursery. Sunday is a walk with my ex-wife, who just got married to the woman she left me for last weekend (awkward, a wee bit, but fundamentally I'm very happy for them...we're all better off) and possibly a relaxation breathing for labor class at my yoga studio. Otherwise, hoping to get some J time but she works weekend mornings nowadays...but for sure some dinners at home!

U2's ZooTV tour in 1992 (?). It was the summer after 8th grade and my dad took my friend and me.
2. What is the last one you saw? Any coming up this summer?
Oh God, I have no idea, which is sad. And I think we're busy this summer.
3. Tell us something that's made you happy lately!
BFF arrived today! She is staying with us for the weekend so she can attend our shower tomorrow. She lives halfway across the country and I never get to see her anymore.
4. If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?
Hmmm...I agree with @Jazibel that it's kind of hard to imagine myself with another name. I don't love my name and there are tons of girl names I like, but I can't picture myself as anything else.
5. What's up this weekend?
BFF is out to dinner with another friend and so I am just relaxing and heating up my dinner. Tomorrow is our last shower. On Sunday BFF has convinced me to take her to the contemporary art museum on the way to the airport to drop her off. Then I'll just relax for the rest of the evening.

*Everyone welcome*
1. First concert was Warped Tour. I don't remember who preformed and I was pretty miserable because it was so hot and we all got so dusty.
2. Most recent concert was Mixfest in Boston where Sara Barillas (I may have butchered her name) performed along with others but I was there to see her.
3. Lately I have been reflecting on how happy Reva makes me. Ohhh and my sisters boyfriend of 4 years is proposing this weekend and he came to my work on Thursday to ask my permission. I am so happy for them.
4. I feel like an Amber so I don't know if I would change my name. The only other name I have ever wanted to be called is Summer. Mainly cause my sisters name is Autumn and I think it would have been fun if we were both seasons.
5. Tomorrow is my future sister-in-laws bachelorette party so we are heading into Boston for an Arts Festival and drinks. Sunday I work all day.

2. Cyndi Lauper last fall. With @Manada on indefinite bedrest, probably no concerts this summer. It's too bad, because M's aunt's friend is hosting a house concert for our fave Kate Reid. But it is over an hour away.
3. Seeing the adorable chubster legs on Rocky 1 on our anatomy scan today (and obviously seeing that they were both doing well. Also M telling me that the Rockies started singing Hokey Pokey to them last night (we were practicing for their anatomy scan).
4. I love being a Healy and have for as long as I can remember. I can't imagine having a different name.
I love the name Maya and think I could rock that, even though it's significantly more gendered and common than Healy.
Also, I think in 1981, I could have been a Harper (when it wasn't nearly as common as now and before the Prime Minister by that name).
5. This evening we are home from the hospital (again! had to go in at 5 am this morning because Amanda was bleeding again-- they ended up deciding nothing was wrong with the cervix and after our anatomy scan we got to go home--about 4pm). We are watching television and we will be going to sleep soon. We are both quite sleep deprived.
Tomorrow morning a couple friends of ours are coming over and bringing breakfast. If all is going well, I will probably try to do some more cleaning. And I will make cupcakes for our friends' (same ones who are coming over) baby shower on Sunday.
Sunday I'm going to the baby shower.
We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.
Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.
Our IVFs:
IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response
IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.
BFP eve of 6dp3dt; Beta 1 (11dp3dt): 110; Beta 2 (13dp3dt): 175; Beta 3 (15dp3dt): 348; Beta 4 (19dp3dt): 2222; Beta 5 (21dp3dt): 4255
1st ultrasound (3/6 6w 1d): TWINS!!!! Twin A measuring 6w1d with a heartbeat of 118bpm. Twin B measuring 6w0d with a heartbeat of 113bpm.
***July 18, 2014 we lost our beautiful babies at 21 weeks gestation. They were born too early. Tavin Sara T. and Casey Elizabeth T. are beautiful and precious and we will love them and miss them forever.***

2. The last concert I went to was actually a 3 day weekend of country concerts called Stagecoach Festival. The headliners each night were Eric Church (my wannabe baby daddy), Jason Aldean & Luke Bryan. This was at the end of April.
Our next concert is on July 5th and we are seeing Cher! Should be a great show!
3. Buying my fetal doppler and listening to baby's heartbeat anytime I want!
4. I have a pretty average name but my crazy parents spelled it's really weird. So I would probably keep it because of its uniqueness.
5. The wife is home this weekend, woohoo! We have an 80 year olds birthday party to go to tomorrow and Sunday we are unpacking from our move 2 weeks ago.
2. What is the last one you saw? Any coming up this summer? Went to see Prairie Home Companion (NPR) a few weeks ago. I have no idea what was the last true concert we saw. I am sure it was pre-kids. Perhaps Peter, Paul, and Mary.
3. Tell us something that's made you happy lately! Looking at my toothless kids (both are missing their front 2 teeth and are so darn cute!) And C has been super snuggly tonight.
4. If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to? Katherine? Kate? Always loved that name.
5. What's up this weekend? It has been a good weekend: errands, pool time, baking, end of the year party with the kids' class. L isn't feeling well, so we've also had periods of laying low and doing nothing.
