Making Mommy Friends is Like Dating

You guys...since we moved we've been trying to make new friends. It's been interesting. I got so many phone numbers, I feel like a slut. Then I overthink what I'm wearing...

Does anyone else do that? Everyone so far seems super nice. Why am I waiting for the other shoe to drop? I don't know when I've become so cynical. Being cautious is not a bad thing, but I wish I could just relax more.

How is everyone doing? Sorry I've been MIA. Any juicy gossip I missed?

    I do the same thing..even with the friends I've made, I almost feel like its a courtship. Maybe I need better friends :)

    I totally agree with everything in your OP, and I was also going to bring up the thread from last week in RE making friends as adults.

    I am glad people have been welcoming!
    but yes, its so nerve wracking. I always think I am not cool enough for the mommy friends I meet. I have one I adore, but I always chicken out about making plans with her because I keep expecting her to realize I am just not that interesting.
    Haha! Definitely not the cheerleader type. I'm a Biology and Art nerd, but I can be bubbly sometimes and people tend to tell me their life stories.
