Just because you didn't die because our parents allowed something 30 years ago doesn't mean that you should do it / allow your kids to do it now. Examples from FB this week: Turning their car seats forward on/before their first birthdays, leaving your child in the car unattended while you run in some place (in this example, a Target/Walmart type store), letting kids wander the neighborhood alone, etc.
I don't think this is u/o but this lady I have become friends with on Facebook through a play group does not believe babies should get circumcised. She's pregnant with a boy and yes you are entitled to your opinion but I don't feel like seeing everything you post about your sons fore skin. How it causes brain damage, and all sorts of other crazy things to babies and seeing pictures of blood crotches etc. Yes you have a belief but don't cram your beliefs down other peoples throats, you don't want to do it to your sons that's your choice but it's like she crucifies people who do it. Usually I would just ignore it but it's every single thing she posts is about boys being circumcised.
This may sound a little harsh, but I can't say it on FB cause I know I'll get jumped (I have friends who were friends with some of the people involved in what I'm talking about)... There have been a rash of people killed by trains in my area lately. Everyone is blaming the railroad company- talking about how they should put gates at every single crossing....but my thing is, it's a TRAIN...it makes A LOT of noise...one of the crossings that someone was killed at was right by my old house and a) there were flashing lights that were working at the time of the accident, b) it was a straightaway around the crossing..you could see the train coming if you bothered to look, and c) the trains honked almost incessantly through that area at all hours....the people were clearly not paying attention or thought they could beat the train. I mean, I'm all for gates when it's practical- but why blame the railroad companies when it was inattention on the drivers' part that caused the accident to begin with. I guess my UO is why should the railroad company or taxpayers have to foot the very large bill of putting gates at all crossings (and believe me, where we live there are a LOT) when taking your head out of your butt before getting behind the wheel will prevent many unnecessary tragedies, train related or not.
@minervacullen even cheesy horror movies scare me. I will not watch any scary movies. I feel sick watching them and one movie will scare me for months. The more realistic ones scare me more but I'm scared of all of them. Honestly sometimes I'm scared just from the previews. There are certain previews that I can't even watch and change the channel.
I LOVE American Horror Story! DH and I are watching it on Netflix. We're on season 2. I'm also super excited for true blood in a couple weeks, and Hemlock Grove!

Nutella is gross
I only like crunchy peanut butter with strawberry jam, not jelly
I sometimes put Morgan to bed early so I can read a book
