15 days postpartum and wanting to DTD with dh. I feel fine, barely spotting. Too soon still? Reading conflicting info. How long did you wait?
Plan on calling ob's office tomorrow, just trying to make it through tonight
October Siggy challenge, costume fail

Re: How soon after birth did you DTD?
ETA: that was 6 weeks after I delivered.
From what I remember you can't douche, use a tampon or have sex for 4-6 weeks (?) because the lining of the uterus is healing and more susceptible to infection. Putting anything up there introduces bacteria and puts you at an increased risk of infection. (Whether you have a vaginal delivery or a csection.)
Married DH 7/30/11
CSC arrived 5/7/12
CHC arrived 6/2/14
If that's not a mood killer I don't know what is haha. I'd probably just take care of yourself *wink wink nudge nudge*
In retrospect that seems totally duh
My sister however is a freak of nature and only waited 6 DAYS after having her DD before she dtd. *shudders*
I have no idea if the recommendations have changed for this time...
BFP 3.8.16 EDD 11.20.16
I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
Married 6/28/08, TTC 7/10, BFP 11/30/11! Charlotte Rose born on 8/4/12! TFAS 8/13, BFP 10/14/13! Lori Anne Catherine born on 6/13/14!
BFP#2: EDD 2/11/14, MMC confirmed 7/15/13 (growth stopped at 6 weeks), D&C @ 12 weeks 7/25/13
I just really miss it. Been sooooo long.
When I had my dd the doc said when I felt up to it and stopped bleeding, this doc said to schedule a 6 wk check up but didn't really say what I could or couldn't do. I think I DTD 3-4 wks after having my dd. She was also early, 8 wks early, so I healed quickly.
All of this.
It's so much more than if you're still bleeding or not. I'm not trying to second guess the advice from anyone's doctor/midwife though, so if you're following their recommendations then go on with your sexy selves, but I'll wait until after my 6 week PP check-up at minimum.
With DS2, who I VBAC'd, we tried at the 6 week mark but it was super painful as I'd experienced a level 4 tear, the worst possible. It took 6 months before I was physically up for things.
DD will be a c-section.
