Recently I've noticed that my 2 month old gets scarred (gets stiff) when she's laying on her back. She plays for a while and is fine, after a while she'll pick up her hands and legs and cries. Is this normal?

    So she'll lay for awhile and then stiffen and cry?

    Is there a reason you think she's scared? She's probably just tired of playing.

    Oh, I thought this post was about scars.

    It sounds like she's just being fussy.  Normal.

    I think what you're seeing is the startle reflex. It looks like all of a sudden someone scared the baby. It's normal in babies and main reason for swaddling. Google startle reflex.
