NBR: ladies who sell products....

I recently started selling a product which I believe in, but I'm mainly trying to stay home more with LO and work on saving for fertility treatments for baby #2. It is a Health vitamin and mineral weight loss line (if that helps with suggestions) I was wondering what some of your sale tactic were? What works for you? Any tip or tricks would be MUCH Appreciated!

  • @chelseamb11‌ thank you!! I couldn't agree more! I told my hubs I didn't want to use my Facebook to advertise and he thought I was crazy. I'm glad to hear that from the other side it is annoying. I didn't even think about a dedicated page. I'll have to look into how those work!

  • There's a girl on my fb that posts pictures of her sipping margaritas by the pool with captions "I love working from home with my family".. Everyday. It makes me stabby. In other news.. I sell nothing.. But I wish you luck! I will say that seeing "real" and personal results on Facebook is actually interesting to me.. So if you're using it yourself and you shared your journey id be ok with a post here and there to gain some interest :-)

  • For me specifically, it's just opening myself up and talking to people everywhere I go. And always ask for the sale or to host anytime an opportunity arises. You can never judge who may be interested if you don't ask. (I sell lockets thru a popular party plan style company). I've had some of my most successful sales from people I would never imagine as my "type of customer."
I wish you the best of luck doing this!

  • I'm an independent consultant/ambassador for two different companies and my advice for Facebook would be to definitely do a closed group if you're going to go that (fb) route. I like the group page aspect because friends can un-invite themselves if they're not interested. I maybe, maybe post on my regular wall about it once a week. I agree with @AprilRaine‌ though... Some of your best customers are going to be people you never expect! Make sure you get business cards and/or brochures and make a point to bring it up in conversation when you're at the bank, dry cleaners, grocery store, etc.
    Good luck to you! :)
  • Thank you ladies!! This is not going to be easy but if it allows me to make some dreams come true, I'm up for the challenge!
  • Well, from a non-sellers perspective, I HIGHLY recommend you not plaster it all over facebook or be pushy.  I have some friends that send me messages/event invites weekly about their products and it literally makes me NOT want to buy from them (even if the need for their product ever comes up).  I'd create a facebook group for yourself where you can put announcements, sales, etc.  I'd like to the group from your own page maybe every so often.
This.  One of my good friends just started selling an (overpriced) costume jewelry line as well as doing paid advertising/reviews of various products for another company, and helping out a friend of hers who sells nail art stuff by hosting the nail "parties".  She plasters is all over Facebook, sends invitations to the "parties" weekly, and most recently started a Facebook group for an event and just added all her friends to it without permission.
