what does your lo wear to bed?

I live in Northern WI and now that summer has finally hit here I'm not sure what to dress lo in for bed. Our thermometer says the house is 76 degrees but it's definitely a cool 76. Until now I have been dressing her in fleece sleep sacks. Last week she was wearing a medium weight fleece sleeveless sleep sack with just a diaper on underneath. The last two nights she has just been in a short sleeve onesie but I worry that it may not be enough. It hasn't seemed to bother her though and I check her torso for how warm she is each time she nurses at night. During the day she has just been wearing a diaper. She's a warm baby and sweats often so maybe it's enough. Just wondering what your lo's are wearing! Thanks

  • My little guy is always super warm. We got a window ac unit for his room and keep it at 69-70. He wears a onsie and a zipadee zip.

  • Mine just wears a onesie.
  • Boston here and we transitioned from fleece sleep sacks to cotton footed pjs.
The warm weather was very slow to arrive so it hasn't been above 68 at night.

I plan to keep her in the cotton footed pjs unless it gets warmer then I'd do just a onsie if it gets warm- maybe with socks because I worry about her feet getting cold

We do a short sleeved onesie and a cotton sleep sack for anything above 72. Below that it gets switched to a long sleeved onesie. If its hotter than 76 then the A/C is getting turned on because Mom and Dad are uncomfortable too.

  • We're still in footed sleepers - cotton or terry - but some nights we run the fan in her room because our upstairs doesn't get cool enough on hot days.  We ditched sleepsacks several weeks ago.  We live in Northern VA and the house on hot days is probably 75 at night.

Im in MN and she used to be in footed sleepers but lately I have had her in t-shirts and no feet jammie sets.  I also use the light weight cotton sleepers.  I actually have a heater in her room because we keep the house a little cooler with the AC on and I like her room to be a little bit warmer because she sleeps better.

  • Its about 70 - 74 degrees in her room so she wears a short sleeve onesie and a cotton sleevless sleepsack
  • We're in SoCal and he just wears a short-sleeve onesie. He seems to be a hot sleeper. The temperature in his room fluctuates between 70-75.

Pretty much everything she said :)
Can't figure out the signature thing, so here's the short, short version.....first daughter born on November 10, 2013. She was conceived through the magic of IVF after 2+ years of TTC.
  • Thanks everyone!
  • I have had similar issues with my youngest, as he loves his fleece sleep sack.  I usually put him in a short sleeved shirt and the sleep sack or even just a sleep sack and diaper.
