lightening crotch?

Hi ladies! I was just wondering if anyone experienced this before and could let me know how early they got it. I am only 13w1d today so I know its super early but I had a couple of short, sharp pains "down there". I'm talking nowhere near my stomach and feels different than those growing pains I've gotten before. I had a perfect scan at the hospital yesterday and don't have any cramping or bleeding otherwise so I'm not too concerned but will ask my doctor next week. Sorry if this is a dumb question because I don't know much about it and if you know any other possibilities please let me know. Thanks!!

I get this occasionally. But I can't remember how early it started. I know, not helpful! If it's not cramping, I wouldn't worry, but it's never a bad idea to call your doctor just in case.

I've gotten this a few times before! From my understanding it's a weird RPL thing. Since you just had a good scan, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I totally got that early on!!!! Starting at around 8 weeks (I think?) It let off for a bit and now it is back. I asked my doctor and she said even this early it is totally normal as the uterus stretches and grows and lengthens. As far as what it feels like for me, I feel like somebody is poking me in the cervix with an electrical shocker - so nice. The sensation can last for a split second, or lately it has been lasting up to a 10 count. Per my doctor there is no concern unless it is accompanied by bleeding, in which case call asap.

Don't worry, this is not a dumb question!! It's a really strange (horrible?) sensation that is terrifying. I feel like Beeker from the Muppets

I've gotten brief, stabbing pains in my vag a few times over the past few weeks. As pp said, an electric shock is a good description. I call it lightning crotch - I'm not sure if it's what other people call lightning crotch. I figure it's from things growing and stretching and nerve pain shooting down into that area. It's scary, but I've had a good u/s since and so I'm sure it's nothing serious.
