Coming out of lurking to ask a stupid question... DD, almost four, is going to her first friend party this weekend. How much so I spend on a gift?? Is $15 appropriate? Too much?

We've only attended parties for cousins and kids of my close friends, where I spend more. I just have no clue! The little girl is a friend from daycare and I don't know the parents. TIA!

I would say $20 is what I would expect to pay. A toy and a book/puzzle/outfit/accessory.
