**2IF Grad Check-In**

Congrats to everyone for making it here!  This check-in is for graduates of the 2IF board (and any other secondary infertility grads).  If you are new to the check-in, please let us know your due date and you will be added for next week.  <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

 

Sending big hugs and deepest condolences to Mrs. Castillo – I am so sorry for your loss and will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Hope to see you back here soon, and that you have a speedy recovery and take care in the meantime.

 

Cerad5, good luck with your anatomy scan on Wednesday!!  I hope the next couple of days go by fast for you! I will be thinking of you and hope you can update when you have the news!  Cheesypeas, can’t wait to see your update to see what team you are on!  Freakyfast, that is great that your first OB apt went so well!  Hang in there with the first trimester symptoms – just a few more weeks!  Lclofreddo, glad your back is getting better, I was a little worried about that for you last week! Chrissynena, how was your first OB appt last Friday? Glad the nausea is getting better – hope it stays that way!

    Hope everyone has a great week! 


    1.  How many weeks along are you? 11w2d

    2.  Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? Nope

    3.  How are you feeling lately? Still tired, seems the nausea has gone away.  I still get a bit crampy, but I guess it is round ligament pain?? And lightening boob? Is that what that is called too? Sharp pains shooting through your boobs.  I have that too. 

    4.  QOTW: Do you have any plans for the nursery yet (color scheme, theme, etc)? What do you have left to do or buy? No, not yet.  We are in the process of trying to move.  So we won't do anything until we move.  We also have not purchased anything yet.  Probably wait till we move for that too.

    1. 16weeks 1day 2. We have an appointment Wednesday and should be able to find out gender at our growth scan!! 3. Nausea is still at bay as long as I take the medicine. My back is feeling much much better thank God! And @freakyfast‌ I have "lightning boob" too haha don't remember that from my last pregnancy. I do however remember the round ligament pain and it's working overtime with how fast my stomach is growing. DH felt a kick from the outside the other day. It felt like somebody flicking your hand through my stomach. Last time I didn't feel this until well past 20 weeks and so I'm a little overwhelmed with how fast everything is happening. 4. Nope, nothing. I bought a pacifier and a used rock and play. No theme or anything we are just going to wing it. DD slept in our room for six months and we plan on moving around that time to a bigger place anyway so we may not even set up cribs. We will see if I get into a nesting stage but at this point I don't see that happening! On another note, DH kept mentioning that we a probably having two girls. This is odd because i really think one is a boy and so does everybody else. I know he really wants a boy so after so much coaxing it turns out he is saying two more girls because regardless of what these twins are he now wants a fourth kid and he thinks that me wanting a boy will trump me not wanting to have anymore kids!! Already? I was going to be done at two kids because as you all know infertility sucks and I am not as strong as most of you ladies. I didn't want to do it again. Now that it's twins I was really happy because we always wanted three. Now four? I'm not even half way through this pregnancy yet. Tell me why this getting brought up already.

    1. 20 weeks!
    2. Next OB appt is this coming Monday.
    3. Sore legs and back at night, luckily DH is great about giving me a massage every night! He also got me a gift certificate for a prenatal massage that I can't wait to use!
    4. We need to convert the room we are using as an office into the nursery - it has light green walls that DH doesn't want to paint, so I am thinking of a jungle animals theme. We haven't done anything yet!

    2.  Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? Had my first OB appt on Friday, went well. She listened with the doppler and said at 11w there was no way she was going to able to hear 2 babies. She was right, we heard one heart beat of 164. She didn't seem concerned that she couldn't hear the other one, and I trust her so I am trying not to freak out. I did order a new doppler yesterday ;)  I had to do the one hour glucose test already. My a1c was .4 points too high, irritating. I got the phone call today that my sugar was 1 point above the cut off so that means I have to take the 3 hour! Irritating. I know why she is doing it, I had GD bad with my first pregnancy but I just do not want to be on insulin this early. Insulin sucked.

    3.  How are you feeling lately? I feel a million times better. Like I can actually function, if only I could get this almost passing out under control.

    4.  QOTW: Do you have any plans for the nursery yet (color scheme, theme, etc)? What do you have left to do or buy? We also are using our office for the new nursery, so we have to figure out what to do with all that stuff and we are out of rooms lol. The only thing I have picked out so far, but not even bought, is the rocking chair. We needed a new one. I want to wait until we find out boys/girls/one of each before we even paint. I have a lot left to buy ;)

    Apparently I'm always late to the party these days.  I completely forgot about the check in until today.

     

    1. How many weeks along are you?  I'm 19w6d.  Exactly half-way there if this LO comes two days early like DS did.

    2. Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)?  I was told to not going painting the nursery yet but the tech was pretty sure baby is a girl!  There was nothing concerning on the ultrasound either, so it was a great appointment aside from some uncertainty on the sex, and the tech didn't realy take or even attempt to take good shots of the baby.  Maybe I have an elective ultrasound in my future, particularly given the somewhat wishy washy ruling on the potty shot.  I just need to decide if I want to shell out the money for one.

    3. How are you feeling lately?  Good!  No complaints.

    4. QOTW: Do you have any plans for the nursery yet (color scheme, theme, etc)? What do you have left to do or buy?  We'll be turning our spare bedroom into the nursery, and it's already painted a dusty purple color, so I don't think we'll paint it.  I'm planning to do grays, purples, and yellows within the room.  I think we're good on furniture, so I mostly just need to work on clearing the room out, getting DS to give up his furniture and accept his replacement furniture, and pick out some sheets, wall art, etc.

    I have not posted here in a while, but I am always checking in on my 2IF ladies! @Mrs. Castillo, I am so very sorry to hear about your loss.

    1.  How many weeks along are you? Almost 38 weeks!

    2.  Any medical updates (appointments, ultrasounds, tests/results, etc.)? I have my weekly checkup today and am thinking they will do their first internal check. I have a c/s scheduled for Mon, 6/16 and am hoping this little guy will stay on the inside until then.

    3.  How are you feeling lately? Huge, achy, tons of pelvic pressure, and my morning sickness has returned.

    4.  QOTW: Do you have any plans for the nursery yet (color scheme, theme, etc)? What do you have left to do or buy? We hung the artwork above the crib last night, and we are officially done until LO arrives. We did a navy and light blue cars theme with red accents. Other than desperately needing to clean our house, we are all ready for baby boy to arrive!
