Re: Baby movement

  • It's normal for a first time mom to not feel or not recognize movement yet.

  • I'm 18 weeks and this is my first baby. I haven't felt anything either. I'm excited to feel it, but I guess we don't know what we're supposed to be feeling.

  • I just answered this in another post but I am 19 weeks today and my 2nd. I'm still not 100% sure what I feel is baby and not gas or something. I'm feeling stuff right now but I also keep burping so who knows.

  • Normal.  I am currently 22 weeks and didn't really begin to recognize what I was feeling until I was at least 20 weeks.  They feeling are getting stronger and stronger which is the only reason I know they are for sure the baby now.  I would say they feel like gas bubbles that never turn into gas.
  • I think I had my first "that might be baby moving" around week 17. I watched him flip around and kick on the u/s at 20 weeks and didn't feel a thing. I had my first real kicks around maybe 23 and started to realize that I had been feeling gentler versions of movement without knowing exactly what it was.
