Re: CPW: Burping

  • I've never burped him "during" feedings but now I don't even burp him afterwards (like I used to).  It seems he can burp on his own now.

  • He is so set on eating that even if I wanted to burp him it would not go over well lol
  • I rarely burped him when he was a newborn. Now, once he stands up after eating he let's go a loud burp. He doesn't need my help.

  • I voted it depends... If he's going to sleep then yes because he wont burp himself and then wakes himself up by spitting up. But if he's just going to be moving about he burps himself so I dont bother.

  • Only after bedtime bottle.
  • i sometimes pat his back after I feed him, but I only ever nurse him. I think my mom and DH burp him after the bottle

  • We burp her at home after a bottle. If I am out and about and I give her a bottle while she's sitting in her stroller, etc, I don't worry about it.

This exactly. Unless he falls asleep while or right after eating. Then I leave him cradled but with his tummy against my chest and usually get a burp or two out before laying him down

  • I couldn't if I tried. Soon as that bottle is empty she smacks it to the side and usually tries to climb away.
