Braxton Hicks?

So today I had what felt like a Charlie horse in my lower left side.. Right above the pelvis. Lasted for maybe a minute and went away after I layed down. I'm just about 23 weeks and a first time mom. Is this what Braxton Hicks feels like. Also some slight pain on side/back.

    To me it always feels like my belly/ute gets rock hard, kindof a squeezing sensation almost.

    Braxton hicks shouldn't hurt (though sometimes they do) they are irregular tightening of your stomach/uterus. They aren't on a timetable like contractions will be, contractions you'll also feel in your back. Braxton hicks will calm down/go away after drinking water and resting.

    Braxton Hicks shouldn't hurt. I have them all day long and they started early quite this pregnancy... my belly hardens and it takes me breath away to the point where I need to breath through them. No pain though.

    Maybe baby is just moving into an uncomfortable spot? I know I get pain when that happens and then sometimes he/she won't move amd it's very uncomfortable!

    Justabean3- that's nuts! I've never seen that!! But at least I know what to look for now. I'm thinking I just had a cramp lol
