FTM Worries

So I'm 16 weeks and 2 days along and for the past 2 days I've been trying not to worry about my baby. But I feel like my bump got smaller and it doesn't feel as firm as before. I popped at 14 weeks (I'm only 4'11", thin frame, and my torso is pretty short) and my belly had been pretty hard to the touch ever since. DH suggested that I might just have looked bigger before because I was constipated and bloated. Which I guess makes a little sense since I've actually been using the bathroom regularly since Sunday. But still, I'm worried, and my next appointment isn't for another 2 weeks. Am I freaking out over nothing?? :/ ::sigh::

Re: FTM Worries

  • Your DH is probably right :) once the first trimester is over, many ladies lose their bump or it gets smaller because of the bloat. It will also get bigger and smaller depending on where the baby is sitting each day and how much you've eaten :) feel better!

  • I definitely understand your FTM worries...l (and I bet a whole bunch of other ladies) get them too!  Your DH is probably right though.  Some days I feel like my bump is smaller/bigger than others.

  • My bump changes every day! Try not to worry :). However, you can always see a doc in the meantime for an additional check up if you feel you need to.

Thank you ladies! My mind is more at ease after reading these responses. Being a FTM is rough! You try to research and read everything you can, but there's always something you still worry about lol. I hope you are all having good, healthy pregnancies! :)
