Admitted for a Cerclage...UPDATED 4/6

Hi everyone,
I have been admitted to the high-risk unit of the hospital for the next few days with a plan to get a cerclage placed tomorrow sometime if everything cooperates.
We came in for our regular appointment in good spirits and while the Rockies are wonderful at 10.5oz and 11oz each in weight my cervix has shortened again.
We are doing okay. I think I feel sad more than scared right now because we were getting hopeful again after last week that everything would be a-okay, but we are also grateful and glad that this was caught while there is still a really good chance to do something about it.
We don't know when the surgery will be tomorrow, but we will be waiting here until it happens and will remain here until at least Thursday afternoon or Friday, at which point I am hoping to be sent back home for strict bedrest.
Thanks for your T&P and I will be following along as well for news of the more celebratory news on the board.

BFP - 6dp3dt via FRER, Beta #1 - 110, Beta #2 175, Beta #3 - 348, Beta #4 - 2222!, Beta #5 - 4255. Ultrasound (6w1d) - 2 heartbearts!
We lost our beautiful Twin baby girls on June 18, 2014. Tavin Sara and Casey Elizabeth were born at 21 weeks gestation and were absolutely beautiful, precious, amazing babies. We miss our daughters every day and love them with all our hearts.

I know this probably won't help, but I want to share with you. About 12 or so years ago, my cousin have birth to her daughter who was 1 lb when she was born. She survived through many weeks in the NICU. I know that doesn't happen for everyone. She has had health issues, but these are related to a genetic issue, not being so premature. Her brother has the same genetic issue and same health issues and he was not born that premature.
ETA: My point with that is that the Rockies are close to a pound each and amazing things can happen with medical technology today. My hope is that you don't have to get to that point though.
I hope beyond anything that the Rockies are going to be healthy take home babies. You all are always in my thoughts.

We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm. 8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy. We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET. I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.
11/14/14 - Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.
12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2
12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)
1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm. 8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy. We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET. I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.
11/14/14 - Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.
12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2
12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)
1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.
Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.

IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response
IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.

I think overall it sucks so bad to have a long TTC road, followed by a complex pregnancy. While I haven't had the same issues as you - even just getting the stupid gestational diabetes felt like "really? can't some part of this be flawless and easy?" - I'm sure you two are feeling similar thoughts.
That said, I'm glad you're getting good care, and while 20 weeks of bedrest sucks, cooking the rockies is the most important thing. You are good parents already, thinking of you all as you go through this step. xx

Thank you all for your support and well-wishes. It's about 2am here and I am just waiting for the latest dose
of pain meds to kick in. I haven't been online all day though, so it's nice to catch up.
The cerclage procedure in itself was really good. The spinal went in with no pain at all, and worked well with no funny side effects. I did get the shakes and dry heaves after in the recovery room, but a quick shot of Zofran cleared that right up.
The pain as the spinal wore off though was intense. Lots of cramping (no contractions, thank goodness!), and lots of intense cervix pulling/pressure whenever I moved the slightest bit in bed. I wasn't really prepared for how bad that would be, and wasn't expecting it at all. Luckily the nurses here are lovely, and kept bringing pills until a combination of things took the edge off.
So now it's the middle of the night. @healz413 has been able to sleep over as I got a private room, so it's really nice to have company and the help to get up to pee. It hurts and cramps up whenever I stand, but settles again within 5-10 minutes of lying down. There was some talk of potentially sending me home tomorrow but I probably want to wait until I am more comfortable getting up to pee alone without a ton of pain.
Tomorrow they will do an u/s to check the length of the cervix and see how the Rockies are doing. Hopefully that brings good news.

Anyway, I am glad to hear you're on the mend!
Our ultrasound today was good. I don't actually know what measurements they're looking for at this point, but the OB was happy with the results. M was discharged this afternoon and we're finally settling back in at home after 48 hours at the hospital. We have the next appointment with our MFM on Tuesday. In the mean time, we have our previously scheduled anatomy scan tomorrow.
M is still in some pain and discomfort, especially when she sits up or stands up. We actually rented a wheelchair to get her from the car to the elevators in our building and then from the elevators to the bedroom because she wasn't going to be able to make it walking. She's sleeping now and I'm about ready to fall asleep, but I wanted to post this update first.
