Please help calm me down.

Hi ladies. I had planned on introing on this board after we heard a heartbeat but now I'm not sure we will make it that far. I'm 5w5d today and as I was getting ready for work, I felt a gush. I went to the bathroom and there were two quarter sized spots of bright red blood in my panties. Throughout the morning, I've had brown and pink spotting but it seems like it has stopped completely for the last few hours. I have a history of losses so I'm so worried that FET #2 isn't going to have a happy ending either.

I called my RE and they aren't concerned because it has stopped for now. They moved my 2nd ultrasound to Monday (it was supposed to be next Thursday). We had our first ultrasound Monday and everything was right on track.

Anyone else with a similar story? I'm so worried.

My RE told me that spotting is common especially with ivf pregnancies. As long as you're not cramping badly and no clots, everything is probably ok! Try to relax, I know it's so hard but worrying won't help your babe. Take it easy this weekend! Fingers crossed for you!

Hey hun. I had a lot of spotting with my pregnancy too. I actually would not call it spotting so much as bleeding. Hang in there. I know it is hard to keep your head up with you see this happening but it can be ok. I will be sending TONS of T&Ps your way. ((hugs))

@Ashris13- thanks for the response. I would have called this morning's gush "bleeding" rather than "spotting". I'm glad there is still hope for me!‌

I hope Monday comes fast for you. I am glad to see that is has stopped. What ever you do, DO NOT GOOGLE! It will only make you worry more. I did not google and I think it really helpped me emotionally thru the bleeding.

So sorry you are going through this! I think if it's stopped that is a good sign. My fingers are crossed for you that you get good news Monday and have a nice long 9-month-stay on PAIF.

Yes, around 6 or 7 weeks I had a bit of bleeding and I thought for sure it was over. I went to an ultra sound the next morning and they found a SCH, or blood clot. Apparently they are very common and do not typically interfere with the pregnancy. Mine cleared up on its own by 10 weeks.

FX for you! I know how scary spotting is. I've had it on and off for the last 3 weeks. I did have a gush incidence once like yours. We didn't get to have an u/s at all until yesterday and everything turned out ok. Hope you have the same result and everything will be fine.

Warning, lots of TMI. While pregnant with my son I had some pretty bad bleeding. Soaked through my underwear and trousers. Was literally dripping blood into the toilet and passes clots that I even collected to have tested thinking it was a miscarriage. But everything was actually fine when I did an ultrasound 2 days later! Was very very scary but not extremely unusual from what I hear. We were IVF too. Try to not stress too much! Hugs and congrats on ur pregnancy!

@thosethreewords- Thanks for your response. Your explanation really helps to ease my fears. I've had some more spotting but it has all been brown since yesterday morning. The red really scared me.

It's going to be a long weekend waiting for my ultrasound on Monday morning.

There are a number of reasons for bleeding. I woke up in the early stage of my pregnancy and was bleeding a lot, but everything was okay. It's so scary to see blood especially after IF but if it's stopped it should be okay. FX everything goes well on Monday. Take it easy the next couple of days.

T&Ps your way. Around 5 weeks I had a horrible shift at work, very busy, didn't have time to eat and was running around, finally went to the bathroom and was spotting. Went home early because I was emotional and thought in my head, it was my fault, when I got home I passed two very large blood clots. I freaked out, paged the RE at midnight and didn't sleep all night. We did an US and there was a sac which was reassuring but they said we were not in the clear b/c it was too early to tell if it was an ectopic pregnancy...so they drew a beta as well. Two days later I was straining to have a bowel movement and started dripping a lot of bright red blood into the toilet before going in for another beta. After that, no more bleeding, next US a week later looked good. Now I'm 9 weeks and things are still good. FX. It was scary and stressful but it turned out ok. I hope the same happens for you!!!!!!!!
