He got me a Mother's Day gift a month before she was born, so I didn't expect anything else. It was an iPhone and looking back that was the greatest thing he could've bought for me. I don't know what I would've done without it during those early months nursing around the clock.

I expected one for each kid and got something sweet each time.

melOHdy MH was spoon fed what to do I gave him a list to choose from, as I do with any gift-giving occasion, and he picked well each time!

I voted that I didn't expect or get one, but my husband did present me with my very own beer mug with the liquid inside that you can freeze for my first pp beer. I loved it!

I bought myself a Louis Vuitton purse several months later and when he questioned me I told him it was my push present for birthing his 2 sons.

I told him I thought they were ridiculous before hand since some of our friends were talking about it in front of them. I told him I would kill him if he spent our money on one. The damn romantic bought me a gorgeous ruby and diamond necklace with his childhood saving account because I was in the hospital on valentines day

This time around he bought me JayZ/JT tickets but we both really wanted to go so it was more of a good excuse to get them. I really still think they are lame and with all the expenses of a new baby I'm too practical to not think of saving for them.

ETA BUT I have to add "gifts" is not my love language or his so I think I would understand if this was the way you express your appreciation as a couple.

I got a Tiffany necklace with an "O" on it. I wear it everyday!

Funny story is that he also bought the same necklace with a "K" on it just in case we used our other boy name. Smart man!

Didn't want one and didn't get one. DH did plenty when I was on SBR for 4 months and he waited on me hand and foot.

I didn't want anything expensive, but I definitely expected a card telling me what a freaking rockstar I was for growing his kid and then busting her out! I also got a sweet little necklace from etsy with Anna's initial on it that was around $20 and it was perfect. I love fancy jewelry, but if DH had dropped hundreds of dollars on something before I was about to stop working for 6 weeks, I would have stressed!

I did not expect one, nor did I really want one. I find the concept odd, and it is not something that is really a thing in our family. My H, however, did get my a Pandora bead for my bracelet and gave it to me in the hospital right after B was born. It was really sweet.

Then the doctor asked my H if that was my push present, and my H said "What the hell is a push present??" LOL
