Ruby Love baby book

I know I am late to the game on this. I tried to search back and didn't find much so hope this isn't a repeat. I was not going to do a baby book, then this weekend DH's mom gave him his baby book that she made and I think I have changed my mind. After doing some searching I stumbled upon the Ruby Love books, they look great but the price is definitely high. Has anyone purchased one of these books?  How was it?  Any other baby book recommendations?

Re: Ruby Love baby book

  • No recommendation on the book, but I will say I gave one for DS with maybe the first 4-5 pages filled in and that's it. It seems like a great idea, but can be a hassle to keep up with.

  • I've been using 'simple stories' and 'project life' for both girls (my 20 month old and 2.0), they are quick and easier than scrap booking and give me lots of opportunity to be creative but they are affordable since I can get them at JoAnn's for 50% off. I really like the document pockets and that I can do most of the album ahead of time then just add pictures as I go.

I used a ruby love book for my daughter and probably will again. My only complaint actually is that it's smaller than I thought it was going to be. I think because I'm trying to blur the lines between using it as a baby book and keeping "treasures" like DD's first "report card" from school. But the ruby love book is super cute, good quality, and you can really do a lot with it. I recommend getting the envelopes for the back to put in bigger things, like the hospital hat and bracelet. Let me know if you have more specific questions.

I have the Ruby Love book for DD. I felled up until she was about 6 months old, and I even got behind on that. Oops.

  • Those Ruby Love books look great! We just used this baby journal from B&N: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/my-baby-journal-various/1016036077?ean=9781841722924. I didn't find it was too difficult to keep up with filling it in for DD so we bought another one for this baby to record things.

  • I don't have this book but I have one for myself, gandma and grandpa from the book store. Ihave The Mother's Book by Elma van Vliet but there are tons of others out there. I also have just a hardcover note book I write stuff down in.

  • We have one for dd and love it, I will be ordering one for DS as soon as I can decide on a cover. I love how relevant all the categories are and how you can add sections. We added the toddler years for dd and will also be getting the siblings set.
