Godparents gifts

For those who gave had your babies christened, did you get the godparents gifts? I'm not sure if this is something we should do, and what to give?

I am a godmother to my niece and my sister is my LO's godmother. It's not in our tradition to buy gifts for the godparents. The godparents get gifts for the baby but that's the only person that gets a gift.

I am going to get them something, but not sure what yet- I am planning to stop by a catholic store tomorrow and maybe get some good ideas there.

I got an Alex and ani godmother bracelet for his godmother and just specialty beer for my brother because that's what he likes haha

We didn't do anything for the first 2 babies' godparents and don't plan on it with this one.

We bought god parent gifts for fun at our showers. Alex and Ani godmother bracelet and then target actuall had a 'godfather' tshirt. (Had the movie cover and said something along the lines of 'call me the godfather')

We got ours a picture frame with a passage thanking them for being godparents engraved on it. I intend to take a picture with them and give it to them late to put in the frame.

I guess I never thought of it. Figured being chosen as godparents was gift enough?
