I hope she gets my love of books. DH hates to read and it makes me so sad. I want her to enjoy literature and not just want to wait for the movie.
She already got the trait from her dad! Red hair! Its not as orange as his, but a beautiful dark red.
I hope she's laid back, like DH. I'm awfully high strung, and I hope she can bypass this level of anxiety.
I hope she gets my skin complexion. Dh is Irish and burns super easy... I tan really well. She is also getting my hair... When I was a baby I had super fine hair. As I got older it stayed board straight and is in excellent shape. Looks like hers is going that way... And she has my coloring
From DH: His complexion and his diligence. He gets a great tan and he just loves to be up and doing something. I don't want her to be content to sit around being lazy.
I hope he gets DH's strength and mathematical skills, because I'm definitely only good with words.
From DH: I was so hoping for his gorgeous brown eyes....got them! I know he has his sense of humor (yay!) and I'm hoping he gets his patience, strength, and confidence, OK those are a few things but a girl can dream, right?
In personality I hope he gets my passionate nature and my partner's creativity.
DH: She got his red hair (hope it stays) and I hope she gets his great ability with numbers.
DH: his height, and I hope she has his smarts.
I hope they get H's commitment to service and volunteering and work ethic. But they need to keep my outgoing traits. H is way too serious sometimes and a workaholic!
Both kids started out looking exactly like my H. Now, G looks more like me - lighter, straight hair, blue eyes. And D looks like my H - dark hair, darker blue eyes, & curls. Yet they both look similar, which is weird.
Anyhow, personality-wise my H and I are very similar. I hope they get his patience, his creativity, and his ability to speak, write, and negotiate. I hope they get my mathematic ability and not my anxiety.
I hope he has DH's brain. He's super smart, and even went to the Jeopardy! try-outs. More practically speaking, when DH was in high school, his brain landed him a certain scholarship that paid for all four years of college. I definitely hope LO could do something like that!
