Baby won't flip over...

in 2nd Trimester

I just came back from my second ultrasound, and the baby won't flip over so that the tech can get a good pic of the spine.

The baby was moving, kicking, waving arms, etc. but wouldn't turn over even after some OJ and a walk.

They are talking about sending me back for a third time.

Has this happened to anyone else? Do you know any tricks to get the baby to flip? ?

    My baby did this for my big u/s. she would not turn over! we only got shots of her spine, top of the head, and finally a good shot of her girlie parts haha

    but i have to go back soon for another look. i am assuming she has turned because i get kicks and bumps in a different place than i was then.

    so give it time? thats what my tech said.

    had the u.s at 19w4d and will have another one around 26w. we only waited this long bc of our schedules.?

    someone once told me that their baby was breech so they were told to put a frozen bag of peas on their belly or do headstands in the pool but that could all be a  load of B.S. Because I didn't know her well. The other day when I didn't feel my baby move for a while (I know it isn't time for kick counts yet) I pushed on my belly and from the feeling of it the baby did a complete turn.I am thinking though that if there was any"real" way they would have told you to do it so you wouldn't have to come back a third time.     This happened to me ...when I went the 2nd time, he flipped but wouldn't stay in the position long enough. The tech had me get up and pee and drink water and walk around. I also drank some coffee before I went.

    hello ladies,

    I m new to this forum i m having twins and one of the baby would not flip over so that tech can take a good picture of her spine and they are not calling me for a third ultraound..
    what should i do i m so worried if everything is fine with him

    so far my little guy has not cooperated with any of my scans. When we went for his 20 week scan he was cross legged and butt down so we couldn't see his bits; he did the same thing when I had to go in for a scan of his heart to make sure everything was ok with that. Doc was only able to get pictures of 3 of the 4 chambers.

    we were able to get him to move a little when the ultra sound tech tilted the chair back a bit so it caused him to slid up a bit more and when that didn't work she would "giggle" my tummy to get him to squirm to a new spot.

    I'm going back today for my 2nd try... I have a stubborn baby too. My ultrasound tech told me to eat and drink before I come in. During my last scan she told me to cough... when I did, baby flipped right over but then flipped back too quickly to get all the pics she needed.
