my belly really popped about a month ago...I can still fit into my regular jeans...this concerns me a bit since I read the post about everyone wearing maternity clothes... I feel like the odd one out... should I be worried?
Nope, I'm still wearing my regular jeans although the ones that fitted me little snug are a bit too uncomfortable for me to wear. Every belly grows differently.
Nope. I was able to wear non-maternity clothes well up to 20 weeks last time around. This time around, I've popped earlier and figured that I already have the maternity clothes so why not wear them?
I haven't made the switch yet, except for a bra. My regular ones hurt to much to keep wearing. And I'm still fitting in most of my prepregnancy clothes except for one or two work pants. And a top I tried to wear this morning that my girls were spilling out of! I did go out this weekend to get a few things just so I wouldn't be screwed one morning dressing for work though.
Nah with my first I could wear my regular pants till around 20-24 weeks. Around that time I just finally decided to start wearing all the maternity clothes I had bought and been given. This time (15 weeks) I am still in my regular jeans, but opted to pull out maternity capris instead of my regular summer clothing. Everyone is different. I have a friend that is currently 37 weeks and still wearing her regular pants. She wears really low-rise, so maybe that is the difference. I think she is crazy, lol. Maternity pants are so comfy.
My pants got uncomfortable at about 10 weeks, but not because of a bump. My hips just started spreading (and I swear my ass and thighs got bigger). Now at 14w4d and, while I have a low bump, I'm still not in maternity clothes.

This is my fourth, and I'm still in my regular clothes. In fact, I lost so much weight in first tri, I actually went down a pant size, and I'm still wearing the smaller size. So no, I don't think there's anything to worry about.
I primarily wear dresses, which are more forgiving, but I haven't switched to maternity dresses yet. I will probably switch next week (I just pulled them out of storage and washed them). This is #2 for me. With DS, I didn't start wearing maternity clothes until week 22 or so.
I like to postpone wearing maternity clothes as long as possible, because by the end of my 3rd tri, I am sick of those same dresses!
Does anybody else have a high bump at 14 weeks? I'm poking out just below my belly button.. at my 12 week appt, my midwife was shocked by how high my uterus was. Sign of a boy??
I'm still wearing my high rise stretchy jeans that reach somewhat above my bellybutton. But then again, I had quite the tummy to begin with and I haven't gained any weight yet. My MIL bought me some maternity clothes this week that I suspect will fit me fine during third tri, but for now are going to be hanging in the closet.

Some people will always carry higher and others lower, but no, it's not a sign of one sex or another; that's just an old wives tale.
I'm still wearing my regular clothes. My jeans still fit everywhere but the belly so I got a Bella band and most of my tops are just getting a little more fitted. I usually just wear extra long tanks.
Re: big belly...sill in regular clothes

I haven't bought a single maternity item though. I'm holding out for as long as I can. Then there will be maxi dresses.
