I'm sure this has been asked!

I am 19 weeks and have not felt any flutters! Everyone asks me if I have felt the baby and I haven't! I also don't even feel like I'm pregnant other than my bump and some pressure under my belly button. Anyone else around 19 weeks with no movement felt? I just feel like I need some reassurance. I have my A/S Thursday but I'm starting to get really nervous.

You might have an anterior placenta. I didn't start feeling movement until 21 weeks (couple days ago) and it's not consistent AT ALL. Hopefully the A/S will give you some peace of mind!

Same with me. This is my third and I started feeling movement early with my second. I felt what could have been movement or could have been gas around 14 weeks but then nothing. I was worried but then they said I have an anterior placenta at my a/s. I'll be 20 weeks on Wednesday and the other day he had a party in my tummy all day but now I haven't felt him since.

  • It's perfectly normal for a woman to not feel anything until about 23 weeks.

  • I didn't feel anything until I was 21 weeks with this baby. I was worried too! During my anatomy scan, baby kept pushing against the ultrasound wand and I've felt kicks ever since. I'm sure everything is fine and you'll be feeling kicks soon. Hang in there!

I was the same way. Starting around 16 weeks everyone kept asking me if I had felt any flutters yet and I would get so frustrated, like WTF is a freaking flutter?? To me it started coming off almost accusatory as DH would ask several times a day and when I would say "no" he'd get disappointed and ask "why not". So annoying and it made me feel like there was something wrong with me. But my doctor told me it was totally normal.

Then, just this week at 20 weeks, I suddenly felt my baby, but it wasn't flutters it was full blown frequent kicks! DH can even feel them already, it's amazing! So don't worry too much. There's nothing wrong with you, it'll happen for you soon enough. This is just one of those things that's different for everyone.

  • I didn't feel any movement until about 21 weeks. Turns out that I do have an anterior placenta which usually delays feeling movement until later, but the nurses told me that I probably wouldn't feel anything until 23-ish weeks (but that I WOULD feel things).

Also, I never really got flutters at all. It pretty much went from not feeling anything to feeling LO rolling around and bumping into me in there. :)

I have low lying placenta and I still didn't feel any movement until just over 20 weeks.

  • I didn't feel anything until 21 weeks last time.  This time I started feeling movement around 16 weeks, but I've still never felt anything I'd describe as a "flutter."  First movements feel like gentle bumps or pokes to me.
  • I *think* I have felt the baby. I mentioned in another thread that I feel what I can only think of describing as pokes. Like a little poke coming from inside me. They're not frequent at all, and could certainly just be my muscles stretching or something...but I like to tell myself it's the baby, haha.

Everyone feels baby at different times, from what I have heard.

  • Thank you all so much! I'm feeling a lot better. I don't know why I let me self get so worried and overwhelmed. I really appreciate you all.

I started feeling light flutters at 15 weeks and now 5 weeks later I haven't felt consistent movement yet so I was getting worried. I learned yesterday at my anatomy scan that I also have an anterior placenta. He was moving around so much and I didnt feel it. Right now I can only feel his kicks down by my pelvic region. Little man had a perfect anatomy scan and was as active as can be so I was worried for nothing!

  • I didn't feel anytime until week 21.  And I have a posterior placenta which would mean I should have felt something sooner than those with an anterior placenta.
