Washer Recommendations

Hi Ladies, I'm currently in the market for a new washer and wanted try and get some recommendations from other CD users.  I currently have a 4 year old LG HE front loader and have been using it successfully with diaper washing for almost 2 years now.  We are moving and not taking it with us so I'm looking into all washer options.  I have noticed most people mention using front loaders on here, but was wondering if anyone would recommend getting an HE top loader?

 

While I have never had problems washing diapers with our front loader I have had issues with mold growing in the rubber ring.  I have tried everything to clean it and leave the door open and still have issues.  It is making me a bit hesitant to buy another front loader, but also wondering if newer models have addressed this issue.

So...anyone have any recommendation on top loader vs. front loader with cloth? Anyone have a front loader they love and not have mold issues?  I don't know if it matters, but here in CA we have hard water and in Northern VA (where we are moving) the water is considered moderately hard.  Thanks in advance for any input on this.

    Oh hey we're in Northern VA! Welcome to the neighborhood! :-h

    We have a whirlpool gold HE top load. Got it when we bought the house 4 yrs ago and have been CD'ing for almost 2 yrs. Never had any issues. I'm happy with it :-)
