I'm sitting in a sea of baby boy clothes (decided today was the day to see what we have and what we need...), and I'm trying to sort but can't remember:
Is 6mo technically 3-6 or 6-9? Same with 9mo...are they 6-9 or 9-12? I could very easily screw this all up! Lol!
Re: Clothes Sizes??
Ugh... I needto go thru all of DDs clothes too.
I agree with @Starfish17 and @Raesofsunshine1. With DD she was all over the board. Some brands listed their clothes as 3-6 but fit her right up until she was 7 or 8 months.
Also, I was thrilled at the notion of 2 Occtober babies because of the sharing of seasonal clothes, but it looks like DS wasn't in 3-6 until EASTER!!! What a tiny guy my DS was. All of our 3-6 stuff is spring/summer. I'm thinking this whole "just buying a couple things for DS2" so that he has something of his own won't quite cut it...
Gah, I need to go through DD's old tiny baby stuff and see what is worth keeping around for a boy. A consignment shop near me has a fill-a-bag for $5 event this weekend, and it would be a great time to stock up on baby boy things that we might need.
I also found the older they get the more clothes for them different due to body structure change and length.
And Emerald27... Spit up
It probably was spit up and I ended up throwing a lot away that I just don't remember. Lol
ETA: spit up or poop...I do remember some record-breaking, up-the-back poops that could have brought down an army. :P
My son is 16 months and his sizing is all over the place... some brands he can wear 12m and some are 2t.
Children's Orchard in Seekonk, MA. It's in that plaza with Target and Kohl's.
The sale is preview for members 5-7 Friday night (but if you show up and fill out a form with your email address, you're good) and then 9-4 Saturday and 12-4 Sunday. You pay $5 for a plastic grocery bag and then fill it with what ever you can fit. It's pretty awesome.
People keep telling me not to wash and remove tags on clothes, and to staple receipts to the clothing tags because if I don't end up using things it makes it easier to return because the receipt will already be matched up to the item. Seems basic, but I didn't think if it so wanted to share for other ftm's.
Of course, this advice is coming from a mom of a preemie who was in NB clothes for nearly 3 months, so take all I said with a grain of salt. :P
