@kh826 usually posts these but based on her pregnancy check-in yesterday, she may be having a baby today!
It's Ten Things Tuesday. Share 10 things with us. Any 10 things. Things on your mind, things about yourself, things that are board-related, things that are not board-related.
Re: TTT-- Ten Things Tuesday
1) TWW sucks. Takes foreverrrr.
2) I spilled coffee on my white shirt this morning on the way to the RE’s office. Good thing we only had blood work so we got out early enough for me to stop home again to change LOL
3) Can’t wait for our semi-local pride parade on 6/14! Another year I will not make it into NYC. That one is a huge production and it’s so hotttttt. Plus DW has softball that day.
4) I hope CVS takes my pre natal vitamin coupon so I don’t have to pay my copay the next 9 months LOL
5) I have poison ivy. Again. Always. Can I take the steroid or get the shot if I’m in my TWW?
6) ^^there go my plans to weed the front yard tonight
7) I’m annoyed that it’s been almost 3 months and we haven’t gotten our tax rebate (yes we had some paperwork that always delays it but this is too long!)
8) I’m getting sick of attitudes around work.
9) I would love a glass of wine and some sushi LOL
10) I got to 10 and I can’t think of anything else!
1. @Mrs&MrsK I feel your poison ivy pain and I didn't want to take steroids because I was nervous about taking them anywhere near potential insemination. I still have scars on my arms and but from my poison ivy from over a month ago fingers crossed they go away in time for my brothers wedding.
2. I am looking forward to baby news from @KH826I can't wait to see baby pictures and hear her birth story. I love reading birth stories.
3. Can't help but get excited for my IUI that will be sometime next week. Although I know it is a 1/5 chance of being successful I am still hopeful.
4. Bummed my cycle has been so wonky lately. Should have ovulated this weeks which means I could have tested before brothers wedding and either would have been able to drink while dealing with family or had known I had a REALLY good reason for not drinking.
5. I need to finish my hearing aid apprentice program soon but every day off I have it is so nice out so sitting inside on the computer doesn't sound appealing.
6. I am loving this warmer weather! It is about time summer showed up. Being able to eat outside for lunch is so nice.
7. Only bad part of eating outside is all the smokers are always out there so I have to be careful of where I sit. I hate the smell of cigarette smoke.
8. We are getting quotes on how much it will cost to dig down the back area of my yard 6" R was originally going to do it herself but there are so many trees that it has been more difficult then she thought it would be.
9. I haven't told any of my family that we are trying again because I don't want to hear their opinions on the matter. Especially my mothers who isn't the most supportive of our relationship or the first time I was pregnant.
10. Time to drive to work. Wish I had the day off to lounge around outside.
Happy Tuesday!!

TTC#1
IUI#1 9/26/13 BFN
IUI#2 10/26/13 BFP beta #1 99 #2 456
2/20/2014 Brynlee Madeline is taken too soon at 19weeks she was perfect
IUI#3 6/10/14 BFP beta #1 276 beta #2 722 20w A/S shows we are having a girl
2. Called the OB's office to see if I need to be concerned or doing anything about it. Originally I felt a little nervous knowing that it can be a pre-labor sign, but at this point it seems pretty clear that it is probably related to something I ate. Obviously I do not want to get dehydrated while pregnant though. Just waiting for a nurse to call back.
3. I won't lie, I am kind of happy about the opportunity for a day of rest (assuming, of course, that nothing serious is wrong with me). I am tired all the time and work/commuting wears me out, but I can't just bail at 34w because I'm tired.
4. Breastfeeding class last night was helpful, but felt incredibly long, as expected. I am glad I did it, though.
5. My breastfeeding teacher was 37w pregnant and had the most torpedo-like belly I have ever seen.
6. I am finally starting to feel hungry, which seems like a good sign.
7. Kitty snuggle time! I knew staying home would be worth it.
8. Yesterday when I got home my wife looked at me and said, "I swear your belly is noticeably bigger than it was this morning."
9. For the record, it is still a slight B-belly. I don't think that's going away before delivery.
10. OK, I am going to make myself some PB-banana toast and see how that goes.
9 IUIs = 9 BFNs
IVF October 2012: 22 eggs retrieved, 17 fertilized, 5 frozen

2. My friend texted today that she and her partner are having a "grrrl". They have a more gendered approach to parenting/life than we do - but I smiled because I know they are probably super excited.
3. My mouth hurts. My antiviral medication seems to be helping a bit, but my gumline and palate are a disaster thanks to the blisters and ulcers. When this heals I am gonna eat so much crunchy, thick food. In the meantime I eat essentially baby food.
4. Ever try feeding a twin pregnancy on purées? It isn't fun! Mashed sweet potatoes and overlooked veggies with cheese are a highlight of my day.
5. Hospital appointment today. Off to check the cervix and the Rockies this afternoon.
6. Poor @healz413 - I sense the stress of having to do everything in the house is starting to get to her. She is doing a ton though! It's pretty amazing how much she did yesterday and still managed to place a baseball game last night!
7. I am currently waiting for my boss to show up to work so I can phone in for a meeting. Turns out I am always on time myself when I am working from home
8. My grandmother spent her career managing Dr's offices and is now a wealth of info and support to me when I have medical things happen - that woman knows her way around OTC meds!
9. I now usually feel one, or both Rockies move at least once a day. It's not more than a tap or a flutter normally, but a nice reassurance.
10. The Rockies move most reliably at night when @healz413 reads them stories, talks to them, and sings them songs. Sometimes I think they recognize her voice more than mine! We will see if they respond more to her voice on the outside

We lost our beautiful Twin baby girls on June 18, 2014. Tavin Sara and Casey Elizabeth were born at 21 weeks gestation and were absolutely beautiful, precious, amazing babies. We miss our daughters every day and love them with all our hearts.
2. It's getting yucky hot here in TX. Should try to enjoy the 90-degree weather before it hits triple digits.
3. Ash's child care puts his crafts (yes, they actually use the babies' hands to paint) in his cubby. Yesterday he had a "Daddy Book" in his cubby. The (new) director was in his room at the time, so I took the opportunity to say, "we don't have any daddies in our household," which his teachers are well aware of. I appreciated her response - she said that they needed to make sure the activities were inclusive of all types of families and told me about how she coached some teachers in a similar situation at a different center.
4. I had a very scary experience on Sunday. When we arrived home from traveling, I was dragging my 50lb suitcase upstairs. My mother was holding Ash and walking up the stairs behind me - several steps behind. When I was near the top of the steps I slipped and the suitcase and I went tumbling down the stairs. All I could think about was trying not to knock my mother down. Thankfully I didn't, but I banged myself up pretty bad - just bruises. Yikes that was scary.
5. I miss Z! She's in Mexico visiting family and doesn't return until Sunday. I've been sending her lots of pics and videos of our son. We FaceTimed the other day and I swear his face lit up when he saw her on the phone.
6. So grateful my mom is here to help me while Z is out of town. I could manage on my own, but this makes it so much easier.
7. I set up a lunch date with my former boss who was my mentor and held the position I was recently hired into before she retired a year ago. I'm looking forward to discussing the challenges I'm facing in this role.
8. I'm thinking about finding new child care. Besides the new director (who I actually really like), there are some staffing changed in Ash's room. I really like the new lead teacher, but she may be temporary. I really want continuity in his care, so we have some big decisions to make.
9. I'm hungry for lunch already! I really didn't notice an increased appetite due to BF-ing until the last couple weeks. I'm ravenous now! I look at my baby's chunky legs and can see why!
10. I need to love into my new office, but don't when I have time to move everything! Also, while I'm glad to have walls and a door, I am giving up a pretty awesome cube by the corner office that has a huge window with a nice view.
Have a good day, everyone!
2. I had a rough day emotionally yesterday..in case that wasn't evident in my TTC check in. I'm better today. I am getting good about sitting with my emotions, feeling them and then pulling myself out. A while ago, I created an "uplifting" board on Pinterest. I go to that when I need to pull myself up and it helps.
3. I feel like out IVF cycle is forever away. There is still a minimum of three weeks before I could start stimming...if not four. I'm anxious to see if we can make it all work around our trip for the Aerosmith concert. If not, then that puts us further out.
4. I hope we hear good news from @KH826 soon!
5. @mrs&mrsk - the TWW is miserable, no matter how many times you do it. In my experience, it never got any easier.
6. First therapy appointment is Monday afternoon. I need it. I'm hoping all goes well. Not my first time with therapy, so I'm not really concerned about a whole lot. Just ready to unload on someone else.
7. The non-success IVF cycles on 3T and Infertility scare me. Not to mention Infertility Veterans. I lurked there once and refuse to lurk there again.
8. I am 1/5 of the way to my financial goal for our savings. I filled C in last week on my plan. I periodically let her know how much we have in every account. When I did that last week she said " so we really aren't broke". I tell her we are because I'm stashing away money in savings and only leaving in checking what we absolutely need. If I don't do it that way, we just spend spend spend!
9. We have agreed that if we exhaust our IVF options over the next year and have no baby to show for it, we are taking the money I'm saving and going on a kick ass vacation. I figure we will be deserving of it.
10. The only way out is through... My mantra lately.
11. @Himee33 - hope ER went well!

1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2
****All Welcome!****
We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.
2. I'm supposed to go to therapy today but I really want to stay home and get caught up on work.
3. I wish Sarah was as excited about going to the beach in 1 month as I am! I am so ready for a reality break!
4. My boobs really hurt. I have PCOS and haven't had period in 2 months. Think she's about to show herself!
5. My boss is a witch! She makes a poorly paid job even less enjoyable most days.
6. We went and looked at a new house Sun. I really want to move to that neighborhood but ugh trying to sell a house. If we do IVF that will be a NO for a few more years.
7. Sarah's thinking of looking for a new job.
8. Wish I had closer LGBT friends. We don't have any we are close to Asa couple.
9. So ready for a baby!!!! Why does it gotta be so hard???
10. So excited for school to be about done for the year and to get a fresh start for next year as it's my renewal year and I will have to be at the top of my game!

FYI, my psychiatrist told me that having lost one's mother puts one at higher risk for PPD -- I'm guessing a recent loss would make it even more likely. The same may be true for perinatal depression. I'm glad K has such a supportive and caring partner -- keep taking care of her, and keep an eye on her! There is no good time to lose your mother, but this seems like a particularly difficult one.

TTC #2
2nd IUI - hoping to try for our Rainbow in the Spring
@shameless370087 - congrats on your twins!!
@RobertJane33 - I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL. You & your wife will be in my thoughts.
@CageyMack - I'm so excited for you & your family.
1. I'm stalking the bump for updates from @KH826. Yay for new babies!! :-)
2. Marathon nursing Owen right now. He cluster feeds every evening/night, but this is truly exceptional. He also ate almost all night long last night. Oh the "wonder weeks"!!
3. Owen is a month and a day old. I'm waiting for EVs finals to be done so she can help me change my ticker again. (My efforts didn't pan out).
4. I'm determined to get back in shape. I have a long way to go from my starting point of 2.5 years ago - and it will likely take a year +... But I'm trying to stay focused and not get too disappointed by the potentially slow progress.
5. I'm starting my job hunt. It's intimidating. I've been at SAHM for 2 years. I'm not sure how to have a conversation that doesn't involve diapers and sleep schedules...
6. Part of me is sad when I think that this may be our last kiddo... I don't feel ready to commit to that. But if you were to ask me during one of those special parenting moments where both kids are crying and I'm juggling 10 things with an apparent lack of grace. Well in those moments my answer might be different. (We're not really talking more kids, I just look at Kaden & Owen and love them so much that I want a million kids).
7. My parents are coming to visit for two weeks in early August. I'm really looking forward to seeing them. Poor EV just wants a break and having my parents around won't really provide that. But hey maybe we can squeeze in a date night??
8. My lower back and shoulder blade area ache almost constantly. It's particularly sad because it's keeping me from wearing Owen as much as I'd like too.
9. I made @ATXmommas veggie burgers tonight for dinner. Yummm :-P
10. I'm on baby watch for our buddies who were due in the end of May.
