I've been super busy with working and whatnot, but I finally can get on to tell everyone that I have a NEW JOB!!! If you all remember my previous posts about being told that my hair is "N-word (although said the actual word) napps" and being physically assaulted intentionally by a student and the lack of administrative interventions in both situations; not to mention the behavior of the kids all the time and almost getting into an actual physical altercation with another teacher and threatening of physical assault by parents, you know that this is a well needed and appreciated blessing. I will no longer be in the city! I will have administration that cares and supports its teachers. I won't have to deal with standardized testing, or lesson plans or pacing charts! I will be the resource teacher meaning that I will give my students services in their classrooms or in my office! I will be able to work with students in small groups or individually! Which leaves more time for me to take over administrative duties so that I can advance!! I'm so excited! Thanks guys for all the well wishes!!
Oh yeah... I'm also able to get off of work earlier (because the school day starts earlier) and I make my own daily schedule!!!

I also have an M. Ed in both special ed and leadership and supervision. You don't have to have a certain amount of teaching experience but you have to be licensed in exceptional education. And in my (new!!!!) district they want you to have like 3 years of classroom experience but that's not a requirement.
Do you have your certifications?
@MsAmeera25 I start at the beginning of next school year. I'm going to be paid from my current job until August and then my new job picks up!!!
