Connecticut Babies

moving to Norwich CT, pregnant with twins

Hi, we are moving to Norwich and I am pregnant with twins. I know I won't deliver at the hospital in town (no real NICU). I am looking for a midwife or OB-GYN recommendation. If both babies are vertex-vertex I want a midwife/doctor who will let me try vaginal delivery. I know there is a hospital in New London and one in providence RI. I'd really appreciate some help. Any Moms of twins in the area?

  • Thanks, I looked up the Hartford hospital online and it is a crappy website that mentions nothing on what type of nicu they have, if they have midwives, or any help at all. Do you have any details? I might just call.

  • You could also check out Middlesex Hospital in Middletown.  May be about the same distance as Hartford.  Not sure about their NICU as I didn't deliver there.  My SIL did and had a wonderful experience.
