Anyone have a pair of Vans (the sneakers)?

Hey there--hope everyone had an OK weekend.

I am not a huge sneaker wearer, but I am looking to expand my horizions a bit.

Anyone have a pair of Vans? I have always been a Chuck Taylor wearer, but lately I have been noticing how cute a lot of the new paterned Vans look.  Anyone have a pair?  How do they fit (big, small, true to size?)

Any other cute/ inexpensive sneaker recs?  I am looking to spend maybe 40.00.  Thanks!

    I wore them as a teen and they ran pretty true to size back then. Not sure how they are now because I haven't owned a pair in like 15 years.

    My recommendations are the Saucony Originals. They've been my favorite sneaker since junior high. Last year, I 'reconnected' with them & got two pairs. Love them! Just as comfortable as I remember them. Bonus.. they come in a million different color options. 

    Those are running sneaks though, right?  Looking more for more of a casual canvas sneaker-- but thank you for reminding me about these!  They are super cute!

    @helenahhandbasket, I own a pair of Van slip ons. They're casual and very comfy. They run true to size.

    I also own a pair of Keds and they're super comfortable.

    hahaha @namastebiotches-- yeah-- I don't run either, but I have a pair of "running" sneaks that I wear when I go walking.

    Looking at Keds too!  They are also super cute.

    I just got the sketchers go walk tennis shoes. They are great! They slide on and are really comfy!

    I like the patterned Vans, too. I have a couple of older pairs (within the last few years) and I think they run TTS but are way more comfortable than Chuck Taylors. Chucks are so flat and hard to me.

    Ditto the Sauconies - get the Saucony Jazz style, I think they're like Chucks in that they've transcended the sports function and go with everything, making it the perfect casual shoes. Look!

    but if you get Vans, get the ones that tie up! (just a personal preference, ha)
