Just dropped DD off for her first day at daycare. She was distracted by all the toys as soon as we walked in so I put her down to play and the DCP suggested I make a quick getaway while she was happy and distracted. I know it was best for avoiding a meltdown but I was so emotional leaving without saying goodbye or anything. I can't believe my little baby is starting DC. Anyone got some GIFs to keep me from bawling?

I know you're 'wrestling' with your feels, but it will be ok! She'll have a great time playing with the other kids and exploring all the new toys. Plus she'll be super excited to see you when you're reunited again!

To spin off of what @subliminalrabbit said, in our house we say "mommies always come back" a lot...thanks to Daniel Tiger. Tyler doesn't really care at the moment, but it helps my 3 year old if he gets anxious about leaving us.

Hope all went well afterwards. I am dreading having to leave L at the end of the month. Even though he will just be staying home with my husband for the first few months until he returns to work, its still rough after a full year at home with him hardly leaving his side.

@kames12‌ @WasNotWas‌ @weddinginthecove‌ It went OK. DCP said she did great for her first day, I think she was on edge most of the day and spent a lot of time being held. When I came to pick her up she was sitting in DCP's lap reading a book and it took her a minute to see me. Once she did she started bawling, obviously my child's way of being happy to see me . She napped well which was a big relief and ate ok and was exhausted when we came home. Went to bed a half hour early and is currently sleeping in.

Oh sweetie I'm thinking of you! I just randomly bawled because of a post on someones FB that made me think of leaving M next week.

We are going through this together next week!! I have nothing to offer other than support and love because I'm a bit of a mess myself.
