Over the last 2-3 weeks our some has decided that getting up at or before 5 is awesome. We obviously disagree. About twice a week we can get him to lay back down with one of us for awhile. Tried giving him a snack. Any one dealt with this with any success?
His bedtime is 8pm. Should that be later?
Re: Early wake up time
Hopefully your little is not as stubborn as ours! I can't wait for when she's a teen and wants to sleep late!
But seriously black out curtains saved us
If he wakes up earlier than usual/normal, I just let him play in his crib. I never went and got him earlier unless he was upset--once he sees me, he wants to get out.
He woke up this morning at 4 am and played in his crib until about 5. That's when he started screaming. He is definitely hungry at that time. His stomach was growling. He hasn't been eating well lately because of teeth or just general pickiness so maybe this is all related to that and we need to focus on what we do with him at that early morning time.
LO is an early bird - started when he was 16 months (ususally anywhere from 5-5:45) Sometimes we give him his binky and tell him to lay back down and that works with little success. Most times he is just up. I have tried to come to terms with it and hope it doesn't last forever. And coffee - lots of it.
Because he wakes up at the ass crack of dawn I try to make bed time earlier so he will get more sleep. Going to bed later has never effected the early wake up.
