  My 2 year old has been sleeping in one this month on vacation (for naps and at night).  I think she looks crowded in there, but she doesn't complain at all!  She loves it!  And she's packed in with her stuffed animals and books!

  I've got a square one you can use well over 2. At times both of my kids like to play in it.

  My oldest used one when we would travel until he was almost 3.  He looked crowded but never complained and liked to sleep curled up in a ball anyhow.

  My son slept in one comfortably when we traveled until last summer (he was about 2.5, 3 ft tall and 32 lbs).
