Our annual beach vacation is coming up in 2 weeks and I will be 33ks when we are there (unless the doc changes the due date once we have another ultrasound, totally diff topic). I have started to pack for the vacation and want to get some feedback on:
1) What is a lifesaver for a beach trip when pregnant?
2) Would you also pack a mini-Hospital bag for just in case? I've been fortunate and have not had any complications or issues and I hope and pray it would not be needed, but you never know.

Re: Packing Bags for Vacation!
Baby Boy due October 2017
I would also suggest bringing a copy of your prenatal records. We live in a beach vacation town, and the nurse who taught our childbirth class this weekend said that they have pregnant vacationers come into L&D frequently due to dehydration or other complications. She said they end up having to do a battery of tests on them that wouldn't have been necessary if they had a copy of their medical records.
And of course, drinks LOTS of water. Not sure what area you're traveling to, but in the FL Panhandle it is already HOT HOT HOT.

@sarahg8r That's a really good idea too! I do know the closest hospital to our vacation spot is within my network and it's likely they could get my records quickly, but it's prob that much easier to just bring them.
I did grab some SumBum SPF 50 and tried it out this weekend while at an airshow and I only got a tiny pink strip near my shoulder, either from my purse rubbing the sunscreen off or I didn't put it on well enough. Luckily, no rash and it smells fabulous
H and I went to Mexico at the beginning of April so I didn't think about packing a mini hospital bag but I did bring:
-2 sarongs. These were so nice to have
-TONS of spray SPF 30 sunscreen and 50+ for my face and chest (I didn't burn)
-Hat with wide brim
-A Bubba Keg for water and bendy straw (insulated 32 oz drink cooler- I used to bring it for my cocktails- le sigh)
-2 pairs of comfy flip flops. I like Reefs.
-Enough bathing suits so I always had a dry one.
Have a great time!!
