Grunting baby?

My little boy frequently grunts. Sometimes he is trying to poop but he also does it a lot while falling asleep. He is actually noisy in general. We joke he sounds like an elephant. Is this normal?

Re: Grunting baby?

  • Yes. I recommend video the poop grunts. Very entertaining.

  • All of the baby noises are just fantastic. I think my little guy must have been a puppy in another life. So freakin sweet.
  • DS is noisest at night. He has received the nickname Chewy as he sounds like a wookie.
  • Yup. Grunty babe over here. She whimpers like a newborn puppy too. And sounds like a little monster when she nurses.

  • We laugh every time she's trying to latch. She sounds like a little pig. She grunts a lot too and makes all sorts of noises!

  • Mine has been snorting and sounds like a pig also. I was so concerned and thought it was fluid in her lungs or she couldn't breathe. I agree with @haylo33‌. Trying to figure out what's normal is so hard! Everything makes me paranoid!

Ours snorts, squeals, grunts and even barks like a newborn puppy. It's really funny, especially the grunt after he poops with a little smile on his face!

Same here- one of us takes her to the living room sometime at night because she makes so much noise and were not comfortable putting her in another room yet especially as she sleeps in a RNP. We call her a boobie gremlin :)

DS always makes a sounds like he's deflating. I also think he's waking up all night long when he's really just being noisy.

Babies are just loud. Except they always seems to wait to be loud until its time for mom and dad to go to bed!

Mine grunts, hums, & coos non stop! Sleeping or awake. We love our sound machine at night to drown out some of the grunts!
